There are some people who have played before .. like 6 out of 18, and I am trying to leave more opportunity for the beginners to practice. Today, I ran balls for others a lot, picked up rocks and did a little serving before we started playing games. against each other. --they weren't the greatest games, and the team I was on totally sucked. hehe. There was even one girl who threw up her arms and hid when the ball came anywhere near her. Multiple times. hehe.
So, I'm just doing what I can and helping others learn the game better and hopefully I don't get smacked in the process or labeled for trying to help others.
I'm pretty sore from all the exercising, calves, quads, pecs, triceps, and lats are all a little achy, so no strength tonight. I'll hit that up tomorrow after aerobics.
Have a great night everyone! |

Rep Power: 21 | | Oh dear... lol Well, have as much fun as you can. It's good of you to try to help others, rather than being a jerk and making the weaker players feel bad. I hate when people do that!
Enjoy your strength training and aerobics today. Have fun gettin' skinny! |

Rep Power: 23 | | So, I was already sore from prior days working out .. and I know today's class is only going to add to the soreness.
I have been guzzling water, and can't seem to get enough. Today we did 40-45 mins outside with power walking, walking lunges, squats, backward walking lunges, jumping jacks, pushups, standing oblique crunch and I don't remember what else. So, I'm going to be sore.
I know I have to get in my strength training though, so tonight. I have to have to have to do that!
weight was down this morning so I'm happy about that. |

Have fun gettin' skinny! | Thanks Sunny, I do hope to have fun getting skinny, and am excited about these measurements of success I must follow in this aerobics class. We have fitness logs to keep track of and everything. It makes me stay focused even if it's for the grade, but it will be habit forming for when I'm no longer in the class. =) |

Rep Power: 21 | | | That workout sounded amazing. No wonder you're sore! Have you been doing lots of stretching? I was sore for a day or two this week, but I just kept doing lots of stretching and it went away. |

I'm not as sore today, but I only played volleyball last night for about an hour, but it was really hot out too.
I am going to try for weight training today and Sunday, and then see about next week too. |

Haven't been in here, no excuses, but I wish you the best!
From my experience, and it could be genes, but I noticed that when I weight train, I get more flexible (weird, huh?) and I can run better and I look better and lose weight easier. I have started yoga again (used to do it a lot a few years back) and I realized that I haven't lost much flexibility.
Even though I'm not at my goal weight and have been struggling to get there for MONTHS, I can only suggest this: full body plan. Weights. Cardio. Yoga/pilates. All combined. It takes a lot of time out of your day but it's worth it!! I hope you can get to weights soon. Trust me, it does wonders to keep your body composition better (more muscle to fat).
Have a great weekend! |
