Today has been a roller coaster ride... one of the catapult ones. YIKES!!
Seems one stressful event after another has been attacking me and trying to drag me down. .. I get on here, I see cheescake and lollipop and bam.. happy happy happy!
LOL!
As far as the cereal, if you mean the Kashi one, I love the Go Lean Crunch. It taste like Honey Smacks to me. It taste too good to be that good for you! Quote: |

Rep Power: 17 | | Hey! I saw you went up 0.5lbs Seriously though I wouldn't count that as an increase - just a maintenance. Sounds like clothes are fitting you better and you see a difference in your face. I think like breezy said - sounds like the inches are coming off Keep up the hard work and it'll pay off. These little plateaus are there to keep us motivated... at least that's the only thing that keeps me going!!! |

Rep Power: 23 | | can we sya another .4 lbs increase on top of the .5? I can't believe it, I was doing better when I wasn't counting calories. Friday Feb 9, 2007 Breakfast
Yoplait Nouriche Super Smoothie
260 cals Snack
SB Diet PB cookies
100 cals Lunch
1/4 Turkey & cheese wrap w/lettuce and tomato-- it was nasty, that's why I ate only 1/4 of it. 200 cals?
1 serving of mixed fruit 100 cals?
2 cups iced tea sweetened w/sweet n low.
=300 cals Snack
Banana 110 cals Dinner
PIGGED OUT for dinner
Sweet & Sour Chicken (Chinese)
Fried Rice
Low fat ice cream
***I have no clue how many calories I had, and I don't feel bad about it. =) Once meal in 2 weeks isn't bad. Plus, I got on the scale and I was only up by .2 lbs. =)
Water:: 35.9 so far today (6pm) Couldn't drink butt loads while at school. Just don't have the option to go potty every 20 minutes! Exercise 2.1 miles treadmill, 25.30 minutes,
4 minutes warm up. 45 secs 9.0 speed (I thought, heck, why not try higher next time)
1 minute cool down ... at this point, 3.5 felt like I was crawling, so I stayed between 4.5 and 5 I believe. 30 seconds 9.5 speed
1 minute cool down 30 seconds 9.5 speed
1 minute 15 sec cool down 30 sec 9.5 speed
1 minute 15 sec cool down 30 sec (barely made it) 9.5 speed
This landed me somewhere near the 13 minute mark.
I then did a walk around 4.0 speed for a minute or 2 and then started jogging between 5.5 and 6.0 for a while and then slowed and then pushed it back up and slowed for a total of 25 minutes.

Rep Power: 0 | | | Don't let the scale bring you down. Your weight can fluctuate so much, but it's those pants fitting that's important. (Last week between Friday and Saturday I had an almost 2lb difference--and I certainly didn't do anything to lose 2 lbs overnight) |

Rep Power: 23 | | Well, instead of getting my break, I was asked to fill in for another class. a 6th grade English and boy were they bad ... this class has been crazy too!
Which also means that I could not go and get some lunch so I'm stuck eating the school lunch today and have no clue how many calories. |

Rep Power: 0 | | Girl, I just ordered one of those scales from ebay myself. I am excited to get it. Right now I use the scales at my work and at the gym.
Anyway...I was reading what you've been eating and doing for exercise and that's bullshit that your weight went up. This is what I think:
1) it has something to do with TOM
OR
2) you are putting on muscle
You cannot have added fat to your body if you have been eating and exercising like you say you are. Your scale does give you body fat percentage, right? What is it saying about your body fat percentage? Also, maybe you should get a tape measure so you can take your measurements. Sometimes a person is putting on weight (i.e. the scale is moving up) but they are losing fat and gaining muscle, losing inches.
Also, your goal body that you are trying to get back looks great. I used to have a really, really nice body. I was actually a stripper, and not that I would want to go back and do that again (dealing with desperate horny men is SUCH a treat), but I definitely want to be in that body again. It makes such a difference in my self-confidence when I look in the mirror nude and see something nice. haha too much information? oh well... i know you know what I mean!
But you WILL get back into that body, just keep at it. And also, by the way, you have a really pretty face from your pictures. Just thought I'd let you know. |

Thanks, TOM is not for a few weeks, so I know it's not that, and I guess it could be some muscle, but it just seems strange that now it's going up and not down.
I'm going to try to get in cardio every day for next week and see what happens. I still have to finish my 8 miles for this week as well. I'm hoping it's just that I am adding muscle and losing inches even though the scale is moving up up up.
The scale does have the body fat/muscle and muscle is increasing and fat is decreasing, although I wasn't able to check it this morning.
Also, my husband keeps telling me the same things, don't get discouraged, I'm eating right and exercising etc. So, it's been a real help.
Today is going to be my second "first" attempt at HIIT and I'm going to try 8.5 or 9.0 sprint to see how long I can do that. I will be making sure the incline is on 0 this time.
Also, thanks for the compliments!

Rep Power: 0 | | Really--the pure numbers on the scale don't really mean anything. I know, I know, it's easy to say, but what you really are caring about is how much FAT you are losing, not how much WEIGHT you are losing. Because, seriously, you could weigh, let's say
170, be really athletic, and have like 17% body fat (which is a very low percentage for a chick, by the way) and look way, way, way better than somebody who weighs a flabby 135 and has, say 34% body fat.
Because the heavier person in this example actually has 17 less pounds of fat on them than the lighter person. So, really, it doesn't matter how much the scale goes up or down, it matters what your FAT LOSS is, which a plain old scale can't measure.
Since your scale has the body fat percentage calculator, you are in luck, you can check your fat weight instead of just your total weight. And I know you are in the February Challenge too, so you should post your fat weight loss instead of your total weight loss (that's what we really care about anyway..)
and you know what, I will go and do that too. I am going to go change it right now. |
