We are aiming on losing about the same amount - I think it was 85 1/2 pounds for me - but I have broken it into smaller goals (really small some of them) and am just focusing on those at the moment. At the moment I am just looking at the next 7 pounds.
You seem very well motivated and very focused, and to know what to do. Just keep doing it.
Good for you 2/3 me for breaking it into smaller goals! That's a fantastic idea!
Mm...well, what did I eat today? 10 club crackers and some cheese. 2 cup cakes. and a big honkin' salad! It came to about 800 n some calories so far. So I didn't go to the gym today, just wasn't feeling it, but I'll include some exercise of some sort today. I have a lot of cleaning to do that will burn a few hundred calories.
Folks, I need your help. My mother doesn't drive and I have to be the one to do all the driving. My upcoming surgery is on the 21st, and I'll be down and out for about a week or two, then I'm going to start going to the gym and walking to my hearts content, possibly trying to get as many miles in per week as I can. But thats besides the point. My point being...
I need exercises that I can do at home, that I can do inside. I currently share my car with my older brother and he has to take it for a few weeks which leaves un able to get to the gym, so if anyone has an suggestings of things to do at home, I'd be very happy to hear from you!!
I didn't have time to read back from the beginning yet, but I will! I just wanted to say Hi and thank you for your comments in my diary. It means a lot when people notice that I'm trying to do my best. Of course, the ticker at the bottom of the posts help, but I'm gonna ignore that! LOL. Anyway, just wanted to say Thank You and give you some support in return!

You are completely welcome txturtlegirl!! I've been reading through your journal too!
Tuesday, Tuesday, what's a girl to do about Tuesday? Welp, I damn near ate everything in sight yesterday..actually not in sight, but I made a cake. (I tend to bake when upset, and I bake in mass amounts when upset. I generally don't eat what I bake, but it was chocolate, I have my period, you better believe I ate it!) My calories ended up being around 2,070 yesterday, which doesn't seem so bad in theory, but the fact that most of that came from cheese and cake and other none good things, then it gets bad. Tho, I did eat salad yesterday, not that that really helps, but I got some green down. (Though, the dark green is the one that's better for you, heh). Today I'm trying to stay within 20fat grams, and that's going to force me to eat good things! I had read in a book that my mom had, that 26g was good, but if I can't do it at 20g I'll do it at 26g.

I can send you some exercises to do. Just let me know how much time you have and if you got a treadmill, a bike, a stepper...

=/ see that's the thing, I don't have a treadmill/bike/or stepper or anything like that at home. And my parents aren't to crazy about having to buy anything either. So I'm kinda stuck, but if you have anything that could be improvised or adapted for everyday run of the mill house things, I'll give it a go!
Hon, have you checked out the fitness sections on SparkPeople or Fitday? I know SparkPeople gives you suggestions (and demo clips) on exercises you can do at home, with just your weight as resistance.

I've checked fitday before...as for sparkpeople...silly me didn't read that you had to be 18 to sign up and since they log your IP address, I can't sign up with them or anything. But I'll do some checking around online
Don't be so hard on Arby's - it's my choice for diet fast food. An arby's melt is only 303 calories and has all the deliciousness of beef & cheese on a bun. I can resist hamburgers if there is an arby's nearby :-)
As for exercise at home, a couple of ideas. First - try finding workout shows on TV. Most of them are kind of lame, but it'll get you moving.
I also play Dance Dance Revolution - if you happen to have a playstation it's fairly cheap in comparison with a treadmill.
Hula hooping is a great workout. Jumping rope is too! Or take up a new skill like juggling, yoyo, learning to stand on your head - anything is better than sitting on the couch.
You can also do a lot of strength training at home. Use a gallon of water as a weight, or just do the exercises without weights. Lunges, crunches, stretching, all great stuff and easy to do without having to buy a thing.

Thank you for your reply!! I've always wanted to play DDR, but I don't have a PS2 nor the money for one, so that's out. I'm going to do jump roping though, I always liked that and I haven't tripped myself yet so =D I had used those big cans of baked beans for strength training, but after a week or so mom was looking for them...I had to give them back. lol.
2/3 me:: I think I'll try the stepping using the staires! Thanks for the advice!
So sticking to 20grams didn't work today..I kinda went up to 40grams..eep! Well tomorrow is a brand new day and I'll have a brand new outlook so yay!!
