Wow, 4.6 lbs? That's great.. I think. Are you getting in enough calories etc?

Your calories should be pushed up a bit if you are staying under 1500

Based on a post by Steve, one of the smarter people about nutrition and exercises around, he says you should take your weight and multiply by 15 (cals/lb) so. 280*15 = 4200 and then multiply by 15% =630, 4200-630= 3570 for daily caloric needs. If you are going under 3000 you are probably WAYYY too low. Your body will go into Starvation and start hoarding the food you are giving it and the losing will eventually stop and you'll do major damage to your metabolism.

It's actually 3.8lbs lost.(I just started rounding)
Thanks for your concern. Yesterday, I did zero excercise and took in about 2300 calories. Didn't feel hungry all day. In fact I felt like I might have eaten too much.

Welcome Stuco! You're doing great!

On the whole goal calories thing, 2300 sounds pretty reasonable to me. Listen to your body - it will tell you that you are hungry before you go into starvation mode.

Day 5

Cheated last night and this morning ate a whole thin crust pizza and another piece or two ate chicken fingers and fries today 3 -squares of choc and some waffle fries too, I had to tell myself to stop and I went on a hike to help get back on trak (about 2-3miles) and I'm back on track with my dieting today too. It helps to know I have to report in here.

Rode the gazelle freestyle for 20 minutes before bed.

Day 6 (I think)

Probably ate too many calories today (fried chicken) but I did exercise(I did 20 min on the gazelle machine and did a little weiht lifting(very little). I'm guessing I had about 3200 calories. Out of town so I can't weight myself for a day or two. I sort of screwed up this weekend and went crazy with pizza etc on friday and sat. I still am feeling fat because of it and am nervous about getting on the scale. I really hope I didn't gain. All in all I didn't screw up THAT much and I'm just gonna not worry about it and move on.

It's always the first week of a diet that's hard for me. got to get out of the bad habits.

Same thing happened to me during a weekend! It happens to all of us. Just try to eat in moderation and limit not eliminate bad things.

Tomorrow will be better! =)

Just did a nightime workout. 20 more minutes on the gazelle and a little more weightlifting.

Weekends are killer. I plan cheat days in my week where I know I'll over eat so that I'm not so hard on myself when they happen.

Day 7

Don't have a scale to weigh on today but I'm feeling thin. You know when you wake up and you can just tell if you've lost weight.
