Thanks, Deb. I wouldn't mind having the surgery when I get to my target, but it would be a real drag before then.
He also said I may have had this hernia long before, but didn't notice it because of all the fat covering it. Some people lose their fat and get six pack abs; I lose my fat and get a belly button hernia. Oh well, it'll go nicely with my mutant nose hairs.

Okay, I sat on my hands for three whole mins. but nope, can't resist pointing out that while correcting a hernia may need surgery down the line....mutant nose hairs can be waxed
Seriously, like your doc, I continue to be awed and impressed by your progress.

Thanks, Cym. Waxing my nose hairs -- you know, when Marlene and I were together with our kids, I was telling them I was thinking about a tattoo. My kids thought I was having a mental breakdown. I can just see their faces if I told them I was getting a nose wax.
That is good news about the belly button. It would be a shame to break the roll you're on right now.
....Nose hair wax!!! Bla-a-agh!!
I just godda say DON'T do that!!! Or at least, if you must, please don't report the twisted torture in your diary. (It's true that my personal waxing experience is limited and extreme...and I have just finished reading a story about a woman who...
... never mind.)

Oh, my God, I think that's the funniest story I've ever read!
I used to always giggle when I saw signs in salons for "Professional Bikini Waxing" I thought "Professional? Come on, what could possibly go wrong...."
Reminds me of how skiiny people will often look at me and say "Whats so hard about losing weight? Just eat less!"
Wouldn't mind waxing a few of them to a bathtub, but I digress....
Thanks for weasling that story out of felici for us Tom. Made my day!
