like my mom always told me, "if you wanna play you gotta pay" taht was acutally when i was hung over from partying as she yelled at me to get up and mow the lawn, but the same thing applies... somehow.. i think.

you ate the chicken now make up for it

I used to have the attitude: "well i screwed up yesterday... i'll just start again on monday." good thing you dont have that

I used to be like that, and my reason for failing my diets in the past!

I dont think im worried about the chicken, as much as the biscuits. I peeled as much of the breading off the chicken as i could..but those biscuits kick myself in the butt for that..

Its ok though, tomorrow is a new day, I'll forget about today, and never lay a hand on those biscuits ever again lol.. Was a bit dissapointed at myself to day for that, but giggling about it now.. I think my first unintentional oops on this diet and im in my 3rd week. SO i guess its not soooo bad..

Gwal most definitley i will keep in touch...

I might not be on here for a day or two, my son has been sick with what i thought stomach flu, but something is telling me it's something else.

It began last wednesday, the vomiting, fever, diahrea. Its sunday, and he has not improved!! He has ate almost nothing in the last 5 days He cant keep his fluids in, and is only 6 yrs old..I can tell in his face he lost a lot of weight, and his lips are looking bluish to me.. So if i cannot get my doctor to see him tomorrow morning, i am definitely taking him to the hospital I hope its nothing worse.

Also not to mention, cheated today..Our friends stopped by, and ordered pizza..I could not stand having the smell in my home, and watching everyone eat it! so i caved in.. I did control the portions though! I had 3 small squares, and took half the cheese of each piece.. My calorie intake with the pizza came out to 1202 today, so still in my range. but shame on me..

I hope your son is okay...there have been some pretty bad gastrointestinal viruses out this season that have been hitting people for several days in a row. The problem with a 6 year old is that he can easily get dehydrated. It sounds like he's already there. It sounds like he could use some IV fluids sooner as opposed to later.

Also, do not shame yourself for eating pizza...especially when you were able to keep your calories/portions controlled. Remember, this is a lifelong journey and commitment, so actually allowing for the occasional indulgence is not cheating!

PS. What sort of jewelry do you make?...I do some beading myself.

Well, my son is doing greater than expected! He is eating like there is no tomorrow He says he feels very good, and wants to go back to school. Phew!! I'm soo happy. It was hard when he kept asking me why does it have to happen to him I'd like to keep him home for one more day, but i dont think he will let that happen! lol he misses his friends.. awww

Yes i make jewelry too I like to make linked jewelry for ex. chandelier earrings, wire work, like to work with precious stones. I have been in that hobby for about 5 years, but have taken a break for about 5 months now..I have no room in my house at the moment. I also have another hobby, aquarium fish! I have a 120 gallon tank, 100g 75g and 30g..So it explains why i have no room

My Menu for today was in range, but have not written anything down. It was more of munching throughout the whole day, and lots and lots of exercise to make up for the pizza.. So i feel soo much better..

Morning
Treadmill walking/jogging 35 minutes.
Breakfast 1 cup cheerios with 1/2 cup 2 %milk
1 coffee no sugar

Around lunchtime, i took my dog and neighbor's dog for a walk, about an hour, fast walk.

snacked all day on wheat bread with sliced chicken, no fat added, and mustard. I think a total of around 4 slices, through the day.

Around dinner time, another long 1 hour long with dog and kids..

1 plum, 1 peach, 1 apple, 1 pear, 1 orange - snacks for the day.

10 glasses of water I broke my record lol

Well you all have a great night.. Im pooped today

I'm so glad to hear your son is feeling better! It's really hard when they're sick.

I know my pediatrition is a firm believer in mom's intuition...when you're concerned, and the doctor's office won't see him, MAKE them see him

Also, like gwal said, this is a life long change - it's not a diet that you "cheated" on.

This is about incorporating food into our lives in a healthy way. Learning how to live with food and proper proportions!

I had pizza last night, pizza for breakfast, and a handful of circus cookies today, and I don't feel like I cheated. I could have made better choices (especially for breakfast), but I made up for it today with lots of vegies. It's all about learning the overall balancing act.

I never thought about it that way I assumed because i had eaten something that in the first place made me "fat" that it was cheating..Although it was a very small amount, i did feel guilty..and those bicuits the day before I went overboard with that though , going 400 over my calorie limit. Did weigh myself this morning and gained a pound. I dont think i will see my ticker move this friday..we shall see..

My son went to school today! he lost soo much weight though and skinny to begin with. I am still making an appointment at the doctor today, and see if maybe i can get something for his appetite. Hes going to be 7 yrs old and weighs only 47 pounds! and very tall.

For me, I really can't feel deprived, nor can I live with "guilt" or feelings that I "cheated" It's just too restrictive for me, because then I would have to add feelings of "failure" in on top of that...

I do know that I am never going to be off a diet - that diet is the sum total of what I eat, not a restrictive number in and of itself. I have to be able to eat what my family eats, to eat what I enjoy, but I have to learn how to incorporate those calories into my life in a healthy proportional way.

Glad to hear your little guy is better!

You guys are so wonderful in making people's days brighter

Well lets see , today i didnt work out. Yesterdays walking, made me a bit sore, so going to hit the treadmill tomorrow morning, and also going to try out some aerobics at home..I dont know if i candle handle all that jumping lol but i will try to do at least 20 minutes out of the 45 minutes. It looks like i am beginning to memorize calories on my foods i eat, and now have a problem with writing it all down..

Todays menu : I think i got it all down ,

Breakfast:
1 cup cheerios 1/2 cup 2%milk

snack - my veggie salad 1/2 cup - boiled carrots, peas, corn, boiled egg whites, onions (kind of like a potato salad, but with these ingredients only) 1 tbs mayo lite, mustard, salt pepper to taste - around 200 calories

Lunch - 2 slices whole grain bread with sliced chicken breast no fat added, and mustard less than 200 calories.

snack - 10 pretzels 70 calories

Dinner - 1/2 cup mashed potatoes with lowfat butter..3 small slices of pork tenderloin, 3 tbs grated beets

Snack - 1/2 cup veggie salad around 200 calories

1 orange

Icky day today.. raining. My husband is sick, this stomach flu is spreading and i am hoping my youngest daughter doesn't catch it now!

Although it was drizzling outside, it was still a gorgeous evening, over 60 F. I decided to not bother my husband with the noises from the treadmill, so i took the kids and my dog and we went for a walk. It was so nice, my kids are enjoying walking with me too! I dont ever remember taking walks outside last year, i would always take my car and drive to the park(laziness) why walk if i had a car?? well that was my thinking. I can now put my treadmill to the side for now and enjoy the outdoors finally!

I still cant believe that this Saturday will be the beginning of my 4th week here and my diet. This friday will be my 3rd week weigh in. GOsh, it flew by, i feel as if it has been a few days ago that i posted my day 1 entry, and am a junior member now! I think i can now officially call myself a journal junkie ha!

OO i feel like babbling today..
