Gotcha now.

I like that they put up such big numbers every week, and maybe I could do the same if I had the time they have a day to workout and then have a nutritionist telling me what and when to eat. I don’t have the time or finances to do that so I will continue with my 45-60 min a day workouts (twice some days if time permits) and the 1 - 2 pounds a week weight loss. Slower is really better right?

As for the trainers I like Jillian best, she reminds me of a female version of a drill sergeant I had years ago at Ft. Knox. He would grill and ride you like a dog but in the end you find out he actually cared that you overcome the self perceived limitations you had placed on yourself.

You also need to have the kind of weight to lose.

If you aren't 100+ lbs overweight, losing that much wouldn't be best.

Big numbers get viewers.

Big numbers aren't necessarily what's best for any overweight person.

yeah, i agree with steve. I lost bigger numbers back when i was over 300lb. Gotta be lucky if i can loose 7lb in a week now lol.

also, you notice that when they loose those large numbers, because they are so big you just dont see it, they are still fat. If i were to suddenly drop 20lb in a week now you would most definatly notice it!

Imagine if all the viewers watching right now who were ever 250 lbs spent those two hours exercising.

This show really is ridiculous, though yup I still watched it. More so I could comment with you lot. Ha ha ha.

Jillian was looking quite beefy there, and she scared blondie. Bob was as sweet as ever, definitely my favorite trainer, but I giggled (marveled actually) when I thought of the people with their gadar totally out of wack about him .

Next week's preview was particularly sickening LOL, they're locking the contestants up in a room containing over 440,000 calories worth of decedent food. Apparently a couple people cave and binge out.

But honestly, the premise of the show, that 2 lbs lost is bad and 20 lbs lost in a week is good, really sort of ticked me off.

Well that's my mini rant, I shall be watching again LOL (my DVR is now set ).

Was at the gym about half way through a 45 min elliptical run when show started. We finished our workout till gym closed at 9:00 on the treadmill. Came home and watched the rest.

Even though Jerry didn't win the challenge he still kicked Phil's butt. I would have been embarrassed that Jerry was that close to me in the end and being 30 years older.

Red team didn't think about having to lose extra weight because they were a player short, next week will be really rough on them.

jeff,
im always a big blue team fan because i love bob so much. jerry is def my fav person of the season, im always rooting for him.

steve,
i guess youre probably right but i find the show to be motivation all on its own!

blancita,
i agree that its really annoying that they shove off 2 lbs a week as not a good weigh in, but i guess the show has expectations based on previous seasons and the constricted lifestyle. but to be honest, the big numbers are why a lot of people watch the show. My favorite part is always the end result though. I love before and afters (and i cant wait till im an after)

I was watching it last night and to be honest, it just got me in a pissy mood. There are just way too many damn whiners this season. I see it this way... there are people who would die to have the opportunity they were given, so why in the hell are you bitching and moaning? BAH! Did you think it was going to be a "walk in a park?" Come freaking on, man....

-Sheryl

PS I love Jerry and Kae. hahaaa!

I['ve never been able to stomach mor ethan 5 minutes of any episode of any season because they are all whiners.. the other show this season the lOng walk (where unforunately no one got killed though they deserved it) was also a bunch of whiners... What exactly do people think they're signing up for? they know ahead of time they will be away from their family, and that they'll be workking hard... I guess whining makes for better television.. gives the watchers at home a feeling of superiority...

I honestly don't get why people find it so inspiring...

While I hope that motivation is the good that comes from the show.... motivation does not equal weight loss. Action does.

Shows like this can stir up all kinds of inspirational emotions. I hope people are acting on them.

As an aside, I'd love it if more care was given to the amount of stress placed on knees. These people should be doing nothing high impact. Yet, here they are sprinting again. This time on pavement and stairs.

You've already got a guy with a knee injury.

A lot of people like the image and thought of losing weight and exercising

A lot of people hate moving about getting the heart thumping.
