Heya everyone,

So in between "Biggest loser" procrastinating at work and plotting my next work out I saw this: A new Dance/ weight loss show!

I read today on Perez that there's a new dance show starting up soon. It sounds like a cross between three of my favorites: Dancing with the stars, So you think you can dance and Biggest loser. It sounds like a great way to promote healthy lifestyles and having a blast at the same time!



If I find anything else out I'll post it here! I'm excited, time to bust out the ol' cheer squad moves!

i was just seeking advice as to whether or not doing weight loss shows would be fun or a good idea...i'm super apprehensive about it because i dont wanna be embarrassed on tv

what do you think it would be like to go on one? embarrassing or fun?

No more than that first day back at the gym! ( we've all been there!)

I'm thinking that this way, rather than us buying all the expensive food that comes with a new lifestyle, they buy it for you!

From what I've read, it seems that they'll have nutritionists and choreographers to help with ALL the new goodies and work it off!
Being on TV could be a fun, thing, everyone has a laugh! Think of it this way, we all rofl when we see a celeb fall during "dancing with the stars", and we KNOW that we'd all have a few spills.
You just need to be able to have a few laughs at yourself. Heck, life is too short NOT to laugh at yourself from time to time!

We already have a show like that in the UK. Can't remember the name, but it's basically peeps losing weight through dancing. Thing is, all the people there have to lose maybe 5 or 10 pound, no big amounts, and I doubt it would work with bigger people.

In general, weight loss shows are just that, shows, with very little concern of how people feel, physically or mentally. It's about money, nothing else, so they won't care if you embarrass yourself either. Just take Big Brother....the people in there are retards in the best case, and most of them are cast BECAUSE they apparently enjoy making complete idiots out of themselves on live TV.

If you're serious about losing weight, do it properly and with your own best interest at heart, not with people behind you who don't care about anything but the money they can stick into their pockets.

What expensive foods do you think you need to buy?

i think he means that generally healthy food is more expensive than food that is bad for you...

i went to the grocery store the other day, and JUST bought produce and meat and the bare minimum of what i'd need for a week or two, and it was even MORE expensive now with the recession.

if i ate nothing but kraft mac n cheese and ricearoni and frozen dinners, then i could probably spend a lot less money, and a lot less TIME preparing all the foods. i would love if i could afford one of those services that do it for me, its hard with having kids and a house to clean and a full time job.

I just finished doing an application for some new show called Dance Your Ass Off. I found the website after trying to find this "new show like biggest loser and dancing with the stars" and I found it!!! Excited!! Its a show on oxygen network. The website is danceyourassoffcasting.com. I just finished my app and now Im working on my video to submit. AWESOME!!!!!
