Has anyone heard about this? I was watching this on HSN today; would want to know if anyone out here tried this or heard about it?

neat trick and I've done a little research on it. I'm sure, for many people, this little trick will work. The people it won't work on is people that eat for pleasure, not for hunger. If i'm bored at antsy at work, I go to the kitchen. No amount of mind tricks will stop me from eating because i'm not hungry to begin with.

here are the cons that I can think of off the top of my head:
a) expensive
b) can't get it outside of USA - i know this because they contacted me about promoting it and I said only if I got to try samples first to test ... they said they couldn't because it's not approved outside of the US
c) it's a mind altering drug ... is that a good thing?? what are the long term affects if playing with your brain
d) you will need to stay on the drug for a lifetime to maintain it's work. if only a drug works for you, then you will gain all the weight back when you go off it

.... unfortunately, the right way to lose weight and maintain it's loss is eating healthy and regular exercise. Drugs fail every time, in my book.

I found this article on it, but I can't remember where. Remembering the main points from the article:

1. There's no nutritional education. Basically, you're still eating unhealthy foods that can do damage to your body. Just a little less of them.
2. There's no exercise, which makes it a quick fix. Again, you're just losing some weight. Not getting healthy.
3. As AllCdnBoy said, it only works on people that eat for hunger. Basically, it's supposed to make you feel full, so you'll stop eating. The majority of people that are overweight, are often emotional eaters who eat when they're not hungry or past the point of feeling full.
4. Since there's no lasting change, once you stop using it, the weight comes back. It's about $60 a month to keep using it. That gets pretty expensive. We also don't know the long term effects of it.
5. It's not as natural as it claims to be.

It's pretty much a quick fix that works no differently than a lot of other cheaper appetite suppressants.
