Rep Power: 8 | | | Supersize vs Superskinnny Thought Id put the link up for the latest episode of SS vs SS, for those that have never seen it before, it focus's on the extremes of overeating and undereating, and they swap the diets of an obese person and an underweight person for 1 week before setting them off with a diet plan.
Enjoy YouTube - Supersize v Superskinny S02E07 - Part One |

Rep Power: 13 | | | I enjoyed that, actually.
It was interesting to see the opposite end of the spectrum especially. It goes to show that skinny does not equal healthy. |

Rep Power: 0 | | | I really enjoy this show for some reason, even though I don't agree with some of the advice or knowledge the guy has, I really enjoy seeing how each one copes! |

Rep Power: 4 | | | Wow, I was really skeptical about this. Even if you swap the diets, one is still starving and one is still binging for a week, but it worked out pretty well. |

Rep Power: 4 | | | ^^; it's interesting to watch .. i feel guilty hehe
but i wonder: is hoarding tons of food into the skinny person really make them feel better about food? =O I'd feel disgusted... |

Rep Power: 0 | | | The Marine Corps had this idea long ago... My brother was very thin... He said they would take away the desserts from the "big" guys and give them to the "little" guys. Everyone came out of boot camp in better shape. |

| | | LowFatMilk: When did skinny ever say that it equaled healthy??? Noones ever said that. People only asssume it. It's sad really.
Don't mean to jump on you there LowFatMilk, but the stigma of being too slender or too fat swings both ways.
Thanks for the link. I'd like to watch the continuation of this show, it's really interesting, kind of reminds me of wife swap. |

There are A LOT of people who believe that because people are skinny that they must be healthy. Especially standing next to a fat person.
I was simply saying it as proof to society, not proof to myself.
geez.

Rep Power: 9 | | I think it does addresses an important issue:
super skinny doesn't always mean super healthy.
I am not only talking about eating disorders: You can be slim and not have the nutrients you need because of a poor diet and not exercise at all. it is funny how some people assume for instance that skinny women don't have cellulite. you can have tons of it because it is mostly a circulatory problem.
both sides of the coin are bad for you- and you should always try to stay on a healthy weight. we all like to indulge from time to time but balance is key.
also it is really cool to see that the grass isn't always greener on your neighbor's yard! |
