My MIL bought this book on ebay just a few weeks ago to see what it was all about...hoping it was something that could really help her. According to what she had heard the diet was supposed to be easy and low on cost....what a load of bull! Along with the rules that Losin'it2 listed, you also couldn't drink any tap water or even take a bath in it. Needless to say, she relisted the book almost as soon as she got it.

And that helps you lose weight apparently......

But it makes sense. With all the bucks good old Kevin has made ripping off, I mean, helping others.. :S he can afford to bathe in perrier everyday...

Anyone else feel like giving Mr. Trudeau a good swift kick in the jewels...

However, on a brighter note, his new book (or any of his books) could honestly be considered helpful in losing weight!

#1 - You could use the book as a freeweight (not a very big one, but everyone starts somewhere.) ((unless its an ebook, otherwise you would need to print it first))

#2 - The money you wasted on the the book could have been used to by unhealthy snacks, therefore, is helping to keep you from eating bad things.

#3 - Once you realize what a load of "poop" it is, you maybe motivated to join Kick-Boxing or some other martial art to vent your pent up aggressions! (or in case you ever met this sucker in person some day!)

Personally I like the kick-boxing idea....... When is his next public book signing? And where can I sign up for kick-boxing.....?

I thought there were a few positive things you can take away from his book, like drinking clean water and taking better supplements, but otherwise I thought it was overwhelming. I'm all for living a healthier, more natural lifestyle, but he tells you to do so many things that it's impossible for anyone to live up to his standards (not all of which are scientifically accurate), which might discourage people from making any positive changes. And I really have a hard time when authors use the word "Folks..." like some cheesy infomercial every other paragraph...

If it's a scam I'll say so...But it is not.

Reply to RedHotBrandy: Please do not listen to all the haters in this string. You will notice that none have stated that they have actually tried the program or that they have read the book from start to finish. I have. And you must read the book from start to finish. If you just read the chapter that lists the steps to follow, Yes, it will seem crazy (for instance, I read alot of flak about the 15 colonics). But if you read the entire book you will understand WHY they are so important! Honestly, I will tell you I believe this program works. I can only imagine what phase 2 will be like because I am on day 16 of phase 1 and I have lost 11 pounds by following the majority of the steps. They are all not required but I'm doing as many as I can. The 11 pounds may not seem like much but for me it is since I haven't budged from 200 pounds for a year now. Even while going to the gym and cutting carbs, fat, calories, yada yada yada. The 11 pounds are huge for me because for 16 days I have eaten EVERYTHING I want and still lost. Including organic beer, wine and organic ice cream. I have also only had 3 colonics not 15 so don't stress on that. I will tell you that living this way costs a little more but it is worth every penny for your health. If you factor in dining out, Starbucks and any meds you are taking now it will be a wash. It was for me. I also have had a toe nail fungus on half of my big toe for over five years. I have tried many times to clear it up (not with meds though) and have had no luck. On day 14 it was half way gone! My wife was just as shocked as me. When I figure out how to set up a website I will post the spreadsheet I am using to track my daily progress and my daily photos. You will SEE the true results of healthy living not just read hate posts. Good luck to you and good health. :-)

Exclamation Complaints Galore against Keven Trudeau see link....

Don't buy his books or even get scammed into anything FREE....you'll pay for it in the long run. There's even a post from a former operator that took orders for his book.

Read all the complaints by clicking on the link below and keep your money in your wallet. His selling tactics are unethical and once they got your credit card number you will never talk to a human again to stop the charges they will continue to make against your card.

Consumer complaints about Kevin Trudeau

Same here! He makes it sound like its a simple herbal pill that you can buy at GNC.

Best Wishes,

Back in the days when I used to bust my ass off at Borders Books working (Okay... okay.. actually my best friend and I used to go to downstairs in the stockroom to read and talk crap. HA! God, I miss him.) I used to spend a lot of time reading the newest health/ diet books that would hit the stands. One day, I borrowerd Mr. Trudeau's book and read it carefully for two weeks. Needless to say, I was happy to be an employee of Borders at that moment, because not only was I allowed to "borrow" it, but it also saved me $25 from purchasing it for my own personal library. You're seriously better off just going online and setting yourself up a free account at sparkspeople or fitday. Sure, taking a supplement/ multivitamin is great advice. However, I learned that when I was a little chubbette rolling my Flinstone's grape vitamin along my tongue. All in all, Trudeau's full of crap... (surprising since he's always pushing colonics. )

I bought the book at Target, not on an infomercial, recommended to me by my Mom. I read it and even though what he says may work, I cannot realistically do what he says. I am not going to go the the doctor to get hCG and give my self a shot every day, nor am I going to buy only organic foods or eat 2 grapefruits every day!! I can handle apples, not grapefruit! I can't actually say if the diet works or not, I'm sure it does, but there's so much to it, that I'm not going to even try it!

That's kinda funny. It's a shame that such information didn't directly follow infomercials and the like. How awesome would it be if police background checks ran down like credits after each infomercial?

My dad and I were watching this guy on television a few weeks ago, and we were sold. I was going to go buy his book but just forgot all about it and decided to just do it on my own..and its a good thing I did after seeing this thread I wasnt aware he sells other things besides these "weightloss cures"

Yup, I have been going back and forth with a friend who is all about "natural" foods, and is on my ass about it. She has read his book and I think she thinks it's the Bible. She has never had a serious weight problem (beyond losing 5-10lbs about once a decade), yet she thinks I need to do this. Umm..yeah, Ive lost over 40lbs without eating "natural" foods. She doesn't think exercise is nearly as important as what one eats. BS.
