your doctor gave you a prescription for that when you only have about 25lbs to lose?

I'm shocked

http://weight-loss.fitness.com/weigh...e-tenuate.html has some good links from drugs.com - and I think a current member is taking it...

You are aware that what you've achieved could also be done without the benefit of the pills...

Nothing against the OP, but is it just me or has there been a huge influx of people asking about diet pills this past week?

Phentermine

Hi Jenny,

I have been taking Phentermine for about a month. I have been diagnosed with hypothyroid about 2 years ago. I have not been able to get my medication levels correct during all this time. Even with diet and excercise I have continued to gain weight.

So far in the month, I have not really had any results from phentermine. I do have more energy, but have only lost about 2 pounds.

How long have you been taking it for?

Like phendimetrazine and diethylpropion, it can lead to nervousness, sleeplessness and mood changes. If you have problems with blood pressure, heart or hyperfunctioning of thyroid gland, you better substitute Phentermine with natural appetite suppressants

Handy info site

Don't use it myself, diet pills aren't for me, but I know a couple of people who have used it in the past and they loved it even though they did suffer from side effects.

I'd suggest you look at ww.phentermine.com - they have loads of info there and a forum too full of people who are using it.

Good luck everyone.

Buying Phentermine Online

I have been looking to buy Phentermine online for a few months now. I have been through a few different pharmacies and keep getting scammed. They either take my money and run, or they send me a replacement product that is absolute crap!
Can you even buy it online, or is it not legal anymore?
Is there something else that works like Phentermine and is available online?

Thanks a lot,

James

phentermine 30 mg yellow capsule

i took this diet pills after having my 2nd child, and they work great for me, i lost 30 lbs in 2 months, and after that i stop taking them and started doing taboe and running 2-3 times a week to tone up my body, after 3 months doing that, i stop excersing and just watch what i ate and kept my weight.

Until i had my 3rd child, geeze, lol
now after 3 yrs having my son, i have not been able to do it on my own, so i decided to do the phentermine again, now im taking the 37.5 mg blue capsule which is the slow release compare to the yellow capsule which i noticed gave me a faster rush than the blue, i have to say i have lost 30 pounds in 3 months, only because i was cheating on my diet, lol
and i have 30 more pounds to go, to be at my normal weight that i use to be.

A lot of doctors don't like to prescribe this medication because of the effects but this is the only diet pill that works for me!!!

As far as I know, Phentermine is still available as prescription only, which may be why you keep getting scammed! From the information I've read, it's safety has not been tested past 3-6 months of use, although it's most effective for short bursts like 3-6 weeks.

Of course, losing weight this rapidly is generally not healthy for you, and most doctors won't prescribe phentermine unless you're considered obese (not to mention if you don't adopt the necessary lifestyle changes - diet and exercise - you're likely to end up right back where you were).

I started taking phentermine in February. I'm working very closely with a doctor on this, get my blood pressure checked every time I go in to be weighed. At the same time he's had me relearning what to eat, portion control, and I work out at least 3 times a week, usually 4-5. I'll be off of it soon, and I know we'll have to reduce it gradually rather than stop drastically. I know other people that have worked with this doc and they've kept the weight off so far. The weight loss has been faster than it would have been without, but not by much, and it has helped me stay on goal. Maybe on average 3.5 pounds a week instead of 2. What I've been doing this year has worked like NOTHING else I've tried.

What I am guessing happens with a lot of people who take phentermine (this is just a guess, mind you) is they take it for the 'quick fix' of getting the weight off without really bothering to learn how to eat right, exercise, and as soon as they stop taking it, the old habits creep back, and so do the pounds. What I'm finding is that weight loss and maintaining your ideal size needs to be viewed as a lifestyle change and not a 'do it and forget about it' type of thing.

Is it dangerous? Yes, it could be... just like any other drug out there. Some people will react differently (hence the mile-long list of warnings) and it could be detrimental for them to continue taking it. Addictive? Again, yes, if abused. As with all drugs, exercising caution and being smart about taking them (and keeping a good communication with the doc that prescribes them) is the safer route.

Ooop sorry... nothing like a soap box first thing in the morning.

I took Phentermine for 3 months almost 3 years ago and went from 155 lbs to 125 in those three months. It worked well for me for a while without any serious side effects, other than dry mouth, but I started noticing increased irritability and so I stopped taking it because I worked at a hotel front desk and needed to not be irritable, lol. I ended up losing the drive to exercise and eat healthy after I went off the drugs and went back up to 140, and then gained another 30 lbs when I went back to college. I've thought about trying to get back on it to help me lose the weight, but I'm afraid that same thing will happen again, and I want my weight loss to be permanent this time.

I've been taking Phenteramine (Adipex) for two weeks and have lost 14 lbs. It seriously reduces my appetite and side effects are minimal. I get a boost of energy for maybe a couple hours after I take it then it wears off. I currently weigh 221, 5'8 and am 35 years old.

My sister has lost 90 lbs taking Phenteramine but eats extremely healthy and has begun to exercise. I just hope she doesn't regain the weight when she goes off it.
