I am sure its very possible they can have that placebo effect on some people. In turn I've seen a lot of packaged diet pills,. recommend diet and exercise along with them. Uh duh.. is all I kind of think in response to that.

Talking Appetite Suppressants

My doctor put me on Phentermine a couple of weeks ago to decrease appetite. I take one pill 30 minutes before breakfast everyday with a glass of water. When I was trying to diet without it, I used to get ravenous way before meal times and would be hungry at bedtime. For the first time in my life, I actually feel like I am eating to live instead of living to eat. However, I will say that I think some of the pills our there are just a ploy to get your money. For instance, if you get a bottle that says to take two before each meal...say you got a bottle of 60 for $14, that means you will be spending $42 per month or $504 per year on an over-the-counter drug. If you are going to spend that much, you may as well get a prescription drug from your doctor that you know for sure is right for you and your needs and poses no great risk to your health.

i think phentermine may be the exception. but for most other diet pills i believe its just a ploy to take your money. give your wallet a break and just drink a buttload of water before each meal and pretend you just took a diet pill. LOL!!!

The reason why they work is because they recomend healthy diet and excerise so you lose weight doing the right things for your body not because of a pill

Diet pills work, they curb your appetite. Now should you take pills, I have no idea. I personally would not want to take a pill to lose weight. You never know what kind of affect it could have on you. That is my personal opinion and should be taken with a grain of salt. I did take them in the past and they did curb my appetite. I would lose weight only to gain it back so for me, in the long term, they did not work.

Arbonne diet pills

Has any one tried this program? They have appetite suppressents and a detox tea. I'm interested but was wondering if anyone else has tried it.

Smile Questions about Diet Pills

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew which ingredients in diet pills were bad for your health (ie: ephedra). My friend was trying to tell me that Zantrex-3 was a safe diet pill, but I was not too quick to believe her ..... Thank You!!!

What works, is a lifestyle change... dieting doesnt work long term, you need to change your eating habits and exercise habits for good. That's not found ina bottle, that's found within your self.

what i'd suggest is getting an account at SparkPeople or FitDay and start honestly recording everything you eat in the course of a day, use measuring tools to get an accurate assessment. My bet is that you are consuming more calories than you think you are.

Once you get a healthy lifestyle plan in place, you will see the pounds come off.

Hun... I just want to say i know how you feel with the whole wanting to loose fat fast because im in the same boat as you. For years ive been surrounded by my skinner friends, seeing them pairing up with guys and me getting left behind... but i have to say that there is no quick win situation.

Ive tried so many diets, pills, and other such things over the years... spent god knows how much money on them trying to loose weight. Yes they work... but only for a while. Ive always found that as soon as i go off them then the weight starts coming back on.. almost to the extent that im back to where i started now.

If you really seriously want to loose weight you got to put your mind to it... easier said then done i know... im still trying to motivate myself into doing it. Maybe find a friend that you can loose weight with... normaly having someone with you to persuade you not to give up helps. I wish i had someone like that... id love an exercise partner but because of certain issues such as me living a drive away from most of my friends this isn't going to happen.

All i can say is you got to work for it... If you really want to use diet pills then have a look on the internet for them... But i seriously think your wasteing your time on them..

Good luck.. i hope things get better for you hun. x

i don't think i've ever heard of any pill being recommended to replace ALL meals and nutriants, what are they called? diet pill are usually used in combination with a healthy life stye, smart food choices and regular exercise form what i understand.
