Rep Power: 0 | | I was placed on Diethylpropion which boosts your metabolism. And although it doesn't replace anything it assists your system. You still have to exercise, eat right, and look out for #1. If you have issues with metabolism talk to your doctor, and see what he/she says. |

I hope you find what works for ya it's very very hard.I never
heard of meal replacement pills either I have heard of appetite craving
pills.I actualluy take 2 " Stacker 2's a day to help with food control and energy(*I have 4 little ones to kepp up with) I know taking diet pills
aren't the best but they really do give me that extra boost of energy that
I need to get by on everyday without that nervousness since they are
effedra free.
I am not saying take pills but for me they help me out a whole bunch!
Like Mal said it is a lifestyle change you have to watch your portions
and make healthier choices in what you eat.Tammy |

Rep Power: 0 | | | yes i use arbonne Yes I use the optimal digest and going going gone pill supplements and the vanilla and orange shakes and have lost 35 pounds since May 8th. I love the energy I have and it is really easy to do. I use a scoop of the vanilla protein shake,a scoop of the orange fiber shake, a cup of yogurt, some fruit and ice in a blender. That is my breakfast and it keeps me full for a couple hours. Then I just take one of each of the supplements a half hour before eating. |

Rep Power: 0 | | I really would not recommend diet pills. You could do more harm than good. I don't really know a hell of a lot about them, but my ex gf used em before and sure she lost lbs, but she gained it all back just as quick. Besides that, I know some of the "natural" ingrediants can be very harmful as well. Weight loss is a lifestyle change, and you can't find that in some fancy bottle. |

Rep Power: 0 | | There are as many myths as there are kinds of diet pills. Occasionally a mag will have a good comparison article- unfortunately I can't point you to one right now.
The big thing is, a lot of people react differently to different ingredients, and this is the main reason for all the controversy. Just like one diet will work for one and not for the other, so it is with diet pills.
If you want to use one, be sure it's been studied and is safe, however, I always recommend against it. Healthy living is about lifestyle changes. Do you want to be taking expensive pills everyday as part of your lifestyle?
I used to use some to kickstart my efforts, they always got me wired up and ready for a run or trip to the gym. But one day, all of the sudden- my heart felt funny and my pulse was very irregular. It's stayed that way. There was nothing else in my lifestyle that could have had an effect on it, and I always had a regular heartbeat before.
This was with a supplement that has been looked at over and over and is still on shelves. (In the US I believe you have a different version of it though).
I'd just say don't mess with them. Our bodies need natural stuff. They weren't "manufactured" to take in strange products.
Good luck! |

Rep Power: 0 | | | Diet Pills I was thinking about starting something like Hydroxy cut or something along those lines. Are they dangerous? Do they help? Or does the weight come right back? If someone could help me out that would be great |

Rep Power: 0 | | My experience with " fat burning " pills is that you don't see a difference . You don't need them if you excercise regularly and eat less. Appetite surpressing pills ,on the other hand ,will help control urges to eat but might contain compounds that do you more harm than good.
Skip the pills. |

Rep Power: 11 | | | I took hydroxycut a few years ago and lost 40lbs in 2 months (w regular excercise). these were the pills that contained ephedrine. After I stopped taking them, I gained that weight back, and more. The problem was that I didn't know how to eat properly or healthy.
if you're looking to change your life and keep the weight off, pills are not the answer. |

Rep Power: 0 | | ive heard over and over that diet pills are extremely unhealthy for you, as I'm sure you have aswell, so its probably true. My personal experience with hydroxycut and xenidrine were that they dont make any difference in weight loss, but they give you a boost of energy if you only take like one just before a workout. Of course this is if you are only taking one maybe every other day. I know on some of them they recommend taking like 9 pills a day, and I think thats ridicolous and where it becomes very unsafe. |

Rep Power: 35 | | Ever notice how all these "magic pills" say in the fine print, "Particpants in the study all lost weight when taking SuperDuperSlim 500, when coupled with diet and exercise."?
Guess what? You can eat chocolate cake and lose weight, if you couple it with diet and exercise.
Very often, what's the most dangerous is not the pill, which is typically made up of caffeine, green tea, and some harmless trace elements you could probably get by eating a handful of dirt.
What's the most dangerous is the mind trip they put you on. They take your focus away from your energy equation (resting metabolic rate + calories from exercise - calories consumed = energy surplus/deficit) and they make you rely on the pill.
At first they appear to work. For the same reason ANY "miracle" diet works: a) you start paying attention to the food you eat for the first time, so you stop eating as much junk, and/or b) you cut out whole groups of food, so you consume fewer calories, and/or c) you start to do some exercise for the first time.
But then what happens? You begin thinking the pill will do all the work for you. You miss that class of food you cut out. You get lazy. You put off going to the gym.
And you gain all the weight back, plus some more.
And the diet pill manufacturers get richer, so they can find more victims. |

Rep Power: 0 | | | Weight loss pills? Just wondering if anyone knows of any diet pills out there that can really help speed up the weight loss process? I've been taking Hydroxycut for about 2-3 weeks now, and even though I can tell a tiny difference, my boyfriend said that it's not working fast enough. So is there anything out there that can give you some fast results? I've heard that pills with Hoodia in it work good, but I've never actually talked with anyone who's used it before. Any advice? Thanks |

Rep Power: 0 | | 2-3 weeks ? Not exactly long!
Caffeine and excersize is not a bad combination I'm told, just trying that out for myself, not too much caffeine though. Diet pills are pretty much useless though. |
