i know its not the best idea.. but i feel like i need a little boost.. if i go to a nutrition store.. are there any pills there that u can recommend to help me lose weight?.. and not do any serious damage to my health lol... PLEASE HELP.
the fda just recently approved alli and I would love to take them but the side effects scare me!!! They include things like severe gas and if you eat more than a certain amount of fat grams, you can have explosive diahrrea or oily spotting, yuk!!!
There was an independant report in a local DFW newspaper that did a study on Alli. Alli, in addition to diet and exercise, helped the group taking it lose an extra 3 lbs over the course of a year than the group who only did diet and exercise. I was shocked. You pay around $300 and risk gas among other things to lose an extra 3 lbs.
I have tried all kinds of supplements, they are all so demanding. You end up having to take 2-4 pills before every meal. It's tough.

BOO! i get bored with work out routines so quickly.. i feel like i have no options left.. and i cant stop eating like a pig for the life of me! i dont know what to do. i feel lost.
having took xenical in the past, one positive thing about taking it is that by knowing what the side effects are it can educate you (albeit by worry of side effects) to a healthier way of eating.
i did lose weight when taking them,in combination with a heathy "calorie controlled" diet. i know i would have lost weight anyway without the pills, but it seemed to come off a little quicker which if you have a lot to lose as i did then it gives you a little encouragement to begin with. the reason i stopped was the cost. in the uk you can get them cheaply via national health service prescription and your dr. many drs are reluctant to prescribe and i got mine off the net.
as a prevoius poster said, read and research before thinking about taking them. you shouldnt get any side effects if you stick to the recommendations on the leaflets. i didnt. slim

Look into why you think you are overeating... you need to work on fixing the actual problem not using a pill to cover it up.
Use a food journal and record everything you eat and how you feel when you are eating... bored, upset, lonely, happy... and go from there..
not sure where you are located, but I have a series of videos I really like. It actually came with about 10 different workouts, so I'm not getting bored as fast as I have in the past. I have ordered two different series from beachbody.com and have really enjoyed them. I am getting ready to order Yoga Booty Ballet, but have also got Turbo Jam and Power 90.
When it comes to diet pills I am on zantrex 3 and it is working really well for me. I do however have to warn everyone though that this pill is no joke. The first few days were really hard, I felt really jittery and nervous and I felt like I was on crystal meth. I did however get use to it and I don't have any problems taking it now. But be really carefull because if you stop taking them you will crash really hard (because of the caffeine content). I don't know how i'm ever gonna stop taking them without throwing my body in shock, I think i'll have to wean myself off. So weigh out the pros and cons. I feel that the pills work but the effects can be a little shocking at first. Even though I like this product I can't honestly say I would recomend this product. Use caution!!
I don't trust diet pills, personally, but if you want to keep a fresh workout, try psh tv workouts. They send 3 DVDs each month to switch things up and also use a personal trainer based on the ifo you provide to help you stay motivated.
Aside from that, it is making lifestyle changes. Little changes in your everyday life add up. Walking farther, sitting less, eating fwere sweets, etc.
