I am trying out Bob Greene's six week body makeover and in the diet plan he states that no "white food" is allowed and i'm guessing he meant no rice, bread, pasta, etc. But does egg white, tofu, and soymilk count?
The soymilk i drink only has 5g of sugar and is lactose and dairy free but has lots of vitamins and minerals. I would hate to cut that out of my diet.

I spent a little time googling,. and I'm not sure which plan you've chosen.
Michael thurmond has the 6 week body makeover diet which works in phases - from what I can read - during the reduction phase -
Quote:
unless you are a vegetarian, soy products aren't recommended during the reduction phase. Soy contains phytoestrogen which can have the same reaction in your body as estrogen, causing water retention. If you are a vegetarian, then soy in the form of tofu or nsa TVP may be used (no sodium added textured vegetable protein).
Bob Greene has te Best Life diet (the current oprah diet of the week)
there his motto is convert white flour to whole grain flours and lose the sugar - soy he doesn't have a problem with
