Rep Power: 0 | | | Weightloss help. Ok, I am new here, and I need help and or some pointers. I am 250 lbs. And I need to lose 80 - 90 lbs. And I want to have this done by January. It may seem impossible, but I want to at least give it my all. Yes, I am prepared to change my eating habits, excercise routines, anything, so I can drop this weight.
People all the time give me ideas on what to do to lose it, but it's like, I try it and it doesn't stick for some reason. If you can give me anything, any helpful info, please respond.

Rep Power: 10 | | | You can lose 80-90lbs by January, but that is an unrealistic goal. If you reach it, it is because you took extreme measures ... and when that happens, it is literally impossible to keep it off.
Your diet is probably your first target, but instead of instantly decreasing the AMOUNT you eat, just change WHAT you eat.

Rep Power: 0 | | | I agree... that much weight to lose by January is possible but you would be taking drastic measures and the chances of it staying off are slim (no pun intended). I am learning that in order to lose weight and to keep it off requires a complete life change in the way that I am eating and the amount of exercise I get. I started on my last and final weight loss challenge on 8/19 and as of today I have lost 13 lbs. I am excited yes, but I know that 13 lbs a month won't always be the case and I have to remind myself not to get disappointed and to be proud of what weight I do lose. Every little pound I lose, even if it is a pound a month is one step closer to the new and healthy me!
Whatever way you decide to lose your weight I want to wish you all the luck. It is not an easy road to travel, but if you keep your eyes focused on that road you will get to where you want to be!

Rep Power: 0 | | | To lose that much weight by Janurary you would have to lose over 6 pounds a week and doing that theres a huge risk of gaining it all back. Your best bet is to pace yourself and have a better chance of keeping it off. Losing that much weight sounds great to anyone I would love it but you need to set realistic goals for yourself. Good luck with your weight loss. If thats the goal you want for yourself then I hope you succeed. Keep us posted. | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
