11 day diet does it work

I have seen claims that there is a diet that helps to lose weight in a dramatic style. Does it work and if so how so. Seems like magic to me. Kinda skeptacle. It sais you can do this diet for 11 days, and you will lose 9 lbs, and after the 11 days you take three days off eat regular food again and then you can repeat it if you need to lose more. Even up to 100 lbs. Wow doesnt that seem like it is magic. Has anyone heard of such a thing and is it safe. Has anyone had good results with it what if anything are the pitfalls of this system, other than spending your money on their diet and maybe it not work? I am all ears.

So, for 11 days eat drastically low amounts of food THEN eat normally for three days and repeat?

Umm...You want to pay for this magical "system"?

Its a crock of shit, if you want to loose weight and keep it off than a lifestyle change is what you need. If you're not willing to adjust to a new eating pattern and hopefully a new exercise regimen than there is no long term success.

Really, the logic behind such a claim is. "Hehe, I'll just starve myself for 11 days than eat normal (more likely a binge) than do it again. Yay!"
Its early and I'm not in the mood for Bull shit so excuse my being blunt, but. This is bull shit.

I'm guessing if you "buy" whatever crap they want you to. You get a sheet of "foods" that you "combine" and so on to help "optimize" the fat loss. Again, BS.

Do some research, eat a well balanced diet full of whole grains, fruits, veggies, beans, and lean meats if your a meat eater. Find your maintenance line when it comes to calories and create a reasonable calorie deficient through diet and exercise that you can sustain without the need for binging.

11 day diet does it work?

Trevor said this is bs my question about this is that if you eat 4 meals a day as much as it takes to satisfy (not stuff) how is this bs. Maybe you would claim that it is us stuffing ourself that is the problem. I was wondering about the effects of switching the foods around so that the diet gives you one sequence to take on this 11 day period and switches them up on the next 11 days what effect does this have.

I want to know if this works. I understand that it is easy to poo-poo any weight loss regeim but to find one that works and not just say eat healthier exercise more. that seems overly simplistic but most of us would agree that if we never stuffed ourself we would not be trying to lose weight now.

Listen to yourself there.

It's common sense, actually. Eat healthier means cutting out lots of the junk food. Cut out lots of the junk food, your caloric intake becomes much less.

Exercise more. You burn more calories.

Yes, it is simplistic...and it happens to be the truth. Burn more calories than you take in and generally you will lose weight. Common sense.

I can understand the desire to look for a patented diet plan, of course....there's something comforting in following a set of rules. But there's nothing that says you cannot create your own set of rules that works for you!

That's what I did...and I lost 45+ or so pounds during 2007. Give yourself permission to be smart about your food lifestyle...and who knows, perhaps you might suprise yourself with your achievements.

Best wishes,

Barbara

A point of clarification of this diet and one that makes me wonder is that the diet claims you are never hungry, only not ful. There is no calorie counting, simply eat the foods for that day without concern of quantity of each food. One simple rule do not stuff. Who knows if we had followed that rule all along we may never have been overweight.

I would love to say yes, and tell you that if you follow some plan for 11 days it will solve all your weight problems, and mine for that matter!

But I would be lieing, if there were some magic sheet of foods that you could eat that would completly satisfy you and make you drop lbs and lbs in very little time none of us would be here because none of us would have a weight problem.

Even if you did pay out this money and by some happy chance this diet did make you lose weight, can you really face eating the same meals every 11 days over and over again for the rest of your life? I couldn't.

At the end of the day if you are going to spend your money on this we can't stop you. But I think you'll just end up being disapointed.

I don't think it'll work. I think it's a waste of money, and even if you do lose weight, it will all come back and then some.

Of course stuffing yourself is an issue with weight loss. Most people gain excess weight because they eat too much too quickly for their body to send out signals that they are full.

Best bet is frequent small meals of healthy foods, not just 11 days on 3 days off, but 7 days a week for the rest of your life.

This is physically impossible.
To lose 9 lbs a week, you need to burn 4500 calories a day.

For this to happen, your average sized person would have to EAT NOTHING, and burn an extra 2000+ calories each day. Oh say 4 hours of tennis daily for example.

Ok, lets assume you'd lose some water weight and whatever magical pills they're selling will rev your metabolism, this is still EXTREME weight loss, not really feasible.

11 day diet does it work?

I can tell you that Yes I did pay for the diet. About 55 bucks. Yes I have gone on the diet. I have played with the diet generator and had it generate for me 4 different diets with different foods. I can say that it does have a general theme you have heard in any gym. High protein, High Fiber, Low carbohydrates. Three of the 4 meals are either meat or fish. One is eggs so protein galore. There seems to be a fruit every day at one meal. And a veggie at one meal and dairy at one meal. One of the biggies is that the diet hits hard on nuts so if you are allergic to nuts it might not be for you. I find it puts every kind of nut on three of the four meals. Day 2 and 8 seem to be where they shock your metabolism. Tay 2 is starch and fruit day. Day 8 is all salad and veggie day. Then go back to high protein, High fiber, Low Carbs again. I have been on diets before and one thing that seems par for the course is potty break time. That is true of this diet too.. Do I believe it works YES I do. Is is worth 55 bucks TO me yes because it is very structured. Kind of like the fatties you know who went away to boot camp and come back all trim and muscular. Very structured. I find it easy since I only cook eggs and anyone can boil an egg. even me. I hope it works. And iif i loose 3 lbs in 2 weeks that is still 6 lbs a month and Last month I only lost 4 so I will see how it goes. Happy New year everyone.

Morning,

One thing I have learned over the years of being a business trainer is that some folks benefit much more with a spelled-out list of what to do....and it appears you're one of them. Thus, if you're happy with the plan, more power to you - I wish you success in your weight loss journey.

Best wishes,

Barbara

*shrug* Ditto.

Four pounds in a month is not any faster than just eating healthy and exercising regularly. Personally, I wouldn't have paid money to have someone tell me how to lose 4 pounds in a month, because lots of people can do that just cutting soda or white bread out of their diet.

But if it works for you, all the luck to ya! Whatever floats the boat.

Course, that's coming from a poor college kid who doesn't have fifty-five bucks to pay for something I could probably figure out for free.

Angry

I am on my second round of this diet. The first time I lost 8 pounds. I weighed myself after my 3 day break and I had gained back 3 lbs. I am now on my 6th day of the second time and I have GAINED 2 pounds. I am very confused and discouraged!!! I generated a new diet plan through their site and it is slightly different than my last one... a lot of meat. I don't know whether to finish the 11 days or not.

ja lux I finished 11 days of the diet and started on the Negative calorie foods diet. On the 11 day diet they always have several servings of nuts. I way overdid the nuts and after a month I had gained 3 1/2 lbs--discouraging> Ya have to not overdo the nuts.

I would have to say that diets don't work.....you will end up gaining the weight back. If you switch your diet and monitor your eating, you can easily notice a difference in your overall energy levels, etc etc. It has actually been proven that if you eat healthy and do little exercise, you can still stay at a normal weight.

Diet is number 1, and exercise number 2.
