Rep Power: 0 | | | "Women's Diet Pills" I'm eating right, found a relatively easy to live with plan, learning portion control with lots of good fresh stuff. Trying to work in more activity slowly because I'm so out of shape. All good stuff. But would love to speed this process up a little, and make it work for me.
I don't want to increase caffeine, it's bad for insulun levels and makes me shaky anyway. After my 1 cup of coffee in the am, I might have some green tea later, and that's it. I don't really need the appetite suppression. I want to help boost my female metabolism
Nearly every diet pill relies on some caffeine stimulant and so their out. And I have the post-menopausal, belly- fat thing going on that a few diet pills claim to target.
Has anyone tried the cortisol or other belly- fat pills, especially those that claim to be better for women? I do believe that herbal and nutritional supplements can change our metabolism and if they're geared towards women's hormones, especially post-menopausal, without bad stuff, why not? Many emphasize chromium, which I know can help fat burning. If it means an extra pound a month without adding bad things to my body, I'm willing.
On the other hand, I don't want to shell out $$ for snake oil.
I'm looking to hear from post-menopausal women with EXPERIENCE with these products, not lectures from the inexperienced.
Thanks for true stories, regardless of outcome. |

Rep Power: 12 | | I don't need to have passed a kidney stone to tell you it's painful.
You'll see much better results and health benefits than you'd get on every half-baked herbal concoction in the world combined from doing some basic weight training. Membership at a gym will generally run you $30-50/month, which just happens to be on the low end of what you'd pay for any one of the useless-at-best-but-extremely-dangerous-or-even-fatal-at-worst garbage you'll no doubt receive a bunch of completely unqualified recommendations of.
Everything that effects what you want has been or will be classified as a drug and proscribed. If you're really intent on taking the path of the hare, ask your doctor to prescribe you something. At least that way you will have some small assurance of the safety and efficacy of what you're ingesting. |

Rep Power: 217 | | almost every diet pill on the market says in the fine print that the pill works best in conjuntion with a sensible diet and exercise...
Guess what? Sensible diet and exercise work on their own... |

Rep Power: 0 | | | that's what I thought, too I was pretty sure of all of what you both said already, just thought there might be a safe supplement. I'm working on the tried and true part -- move more, eat less. Eventually, it works.
God grant me patience......
AND GRANT IT RIGHT NOW!!
Thanks. |

Thanks. | It's your own fault for invoking the self-fulfilling prophecy effect.
Anyway, there really isn't anything that works. If there was, it wouldn't be a supplement. Honest.
If I could give you some more unasked for and obnoxious advice, the trick is to forget about the destination, and focus on enjoying the trip. When it's fun, you're not worried about how long it's taking. If anything, you sort of dread the day when you get where you're going, as you'll then have to figure out where to head from there. |

| Focus, that was some really deep advice that I think I'm actually going to take to heart. | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
