Rep Power: 0 | | | Isagenix questions Hi! This is my first post. I'm a 20 year old female and currently at my heaviest (205 lbs). I would like to get down 50-60 lbs, ultimately.
I've been looking at Isagenix articles, testimonies, videos, etc. and am ready to start! I know that you can either buy the 9-day program or the 30-day, and I would really like to go dutch with my mom on the 30-day program and do 15 days each. Anyone know if there are any problems to this?
Thanks!

Rep Power: 217 | | we get spammed a lot by isagenix distributers around here -so I'm being very careful about how i'm asking this question.
Why is isagenix a possible solution for you? Why not just go with sensible diet and exercise instead of spending a lot of money that you could put towards a new wardrobe...
What do you think Isagenix will do for you that you couldn't do on your own? |

"What do you think Isagenix will do for you that you couldn't do on your own?"
I have been using Isagenix for at least 3 weeks now. I wanted to respond to maleficent's question -- even though it wasn't aimed at me. I have been overweight most of my life and feel that I can shed some light on this for you.
I understand and agree that a sensible diet and exercise is the best way to lose weight and stay healthy. The Isagenix system does NOT replace that -- it helps you train your body to get into those habits. Since Isagenix I have stopped craving fatty foods. I don't get hungry all the time any more. I have started drinking water only - voluntarily. And I've gained more energy which makes me want to get out and exercise. Not only have I lost 26 pounds so far with Isagenix, I am also completely changing my eating habits and my lifestyle.
So to answer your question, What does isagenix do that you cannot do for yourself? Well, you CAN do it for yourself. But there are people like me that need a little extra help to get them motivated and get them on the right track for success. When you do Isagenix and you see the results after only a few days, your motivation to keep eating healthy and losing weight goes through the roof. And you start seeing how little it actually takes to satisfy your hunger and that encourages you to start changing your eating habits.
I'm speaking completely from personal experience. I wanted to give Isagenix a fair chance because I think maleficent is getting the wrong idea about it.
Also, as far as the price, well think about it....
The 9-day (actually 11-day counting 2 warmup days) system replaces at least 26 meals. That's 26 breakfast and dinners that you don't have to buy. That alone should equal or might even outweigh the cost of the program.
Now to answer Christiana's question (sorry):
"I've been looking at Isagenix articles, testimonies, videos, etc. and am ready to start! I know that you can either buy the 9-day program or the 30-day, and I would really like to go dutch with my mom on the 30-day program and do 15 days each. Anyone know if there are any problems to this?"
The basic nine day (really 11 days your first time through) goes like this
2 days = shake, meal, shake
2 days = cleanse
5 days = shake, meal, shake
2 days = cleanse
If you purchased a 30 day, with the intention of doing two nine days you will need to also purchase a Fast Start Pak, as you won't have enough cleanse product to make it through 8 cleanse days.
Good luck to you both on your cleanse! And let us know your results!!
Tony

Rep Power: 0 | | | Isagenix is a good choice I agree with Tony. I have actually used and still use this product and I have lost over 39lb on it. People get all mad about it and think it's not a good product because the company chooses to use network marketing or mlm to promote it's product, but the fact is, that it does work and this company is very reputable. And you can only buy it through someone who has already bought it.
Anyway if you want to get the 30 day cleanse all you need to do is buy 2 of the cleanse for life bottles and you will have just enough for both of you to do the cleanse. PM me if you have any other questions Good luck!
It would seem that this maleficent person has not bothered to look into this product or this company. It would do her some good!

Rep Power: 0 | | I've got questions about this program.
I don't know much about it and would like to get more info. I am comparing this to the best course of action: lifestyle change with exercise and healthy nutrition.
Is there a guarantee the weight stays off?
How long is this program? Meaning how long do you have to do the cleansing and taking protein powder?
The only good weight loss is the weight that stays off so I am basing my judgement on that?
Any light that anyone can shed would be helpful.
I have to warn you I am very skeptical |

Rep Power: 0 | | The isagenix program is a weightloss system,a cleanse and nutritional system it's not a diet. The focus of the program is to rid the toxins from our bodies, we all have them in us even the healthiest people. It promotes a lifestyle change with exercise and healthy nutrition. We all know this is what it takes if the weight is to stay off.
While no one can guarantee the weight will stay off for everyone, I can say that if you follow the system and not revert back to the old bad habits of eating the wrong food, no excercise, it will stay off.
There is a 9 day cleanse and a 30 day cleanse, use either of them. They have many other products as well but these are the main two.
I can say I have lost 39lb and it has stayed off give or take 5lb or so. My clothes fit better and I feel much better then I did before I started using it.
Everyone is skeptical that is the world we live in today unfortunately. All I can say from personal experience that it has worked for me, my sister, my inlaws and friends. I have only had one friend that used it that it didn't work for and it turned out she has a thyroid condition, and she wouldn't have know that if she didn't use the product, by it not working she saw a DR and found out.
Also the prices on the website are retail you will save if you buy it wholesale, it seems like it cost a lot but if you factor in that you won't be eating out and buying all the junk food and alcohol and smokes.(if you drink and smoke) you will save money. If you have a lot of weight you want to lose I would recomend the 30 day cleanse, if you just want to see if you can lose any weight with it at all then the 9 day is a good start. I prefer to do 2, 9 day cleanse systems back to back.
Please pm me if you have any other questions, I am glad to help. or see my profile there is more info about it there.

Rep Power: 0 | | | I started with Isagenix at the begining of January I started Isagenix at the beginning of the year and have had great success with it, I've managed to lose 165 lbs in that time dropping from 392 to 227. I joined for their annual Isabody Challenge and was awarded first place and got the grand prize of $10,000. This product has helped change my life and I would recommend it to anybody looking to loose weight or just to be healthy. I have been able to get my before and after pictures and the picture of me up on the stage receiving my award on my own website. If you would like to check it out you can at LINK DELETED Quote:

Rep Power: 33 | | Hmmm....are there any testimonies of people who have done this maybe two years ago? Because I would bet huge amounts of money that none of them has actually managed to keep the weight off them, they probably have it all back, plus some extra.
Any diet/cleansing/whateveryouwannacallit where you have to replace proper food with shakes or any of that has a tendency to backfire big time once you try to eat normally again, even if you eat healthy.
I still think that a lifestyle change, the right food and exercise are the best, and certainly healthiest way to lose weight and keep it off. And if you don't have the willpower and motivation to change your eating habits, what makes you think that you'll have the willpower and motivation to stick with a program that doesn't allow you to eat...well...anything that you like? To quote a very common phrase over here in the UK....Bollocks!!
Oh, just for the "Isagenix" (do you know what that translates to by the way? It's a slang form of "I don't say anything" in German....*lol*) worshippers out there...don't try to convert me. I have lost 33 lbs so far without cravings or anything like that, while still eating things I like. So....save your breath (or your fingers in this case), you certainly won't convert me.... |

Rep Power: 9 | | Lets face it, people who turn to things like this do it because they lack the self control to control portions and count calories.
They don't suddenly have that ability when they stop drinking the shakes. |

Rep Power: 0 | | I respect...but completely disagree with the last two posts. I currently weigh 158 and stand 5'8". My highest weight was 250...so ya... I totally know what it takes to eat healthy and live a clean, active lifestyle. Yet.. I hit a serious plateau. I was at 170 at the beginning of the summer... hired a trainer and a nutritionist and worked my ass off!... nothing. Gained a few pounds of muscle (up to 174) but no fat loss (and yess we measured). I went to a homeopathic dr and he suggested doing a cleanse... that just as others on this board have said.. we get toxic!! I was hesitant... He didn't suggest isagenix.. but a friend did. I followed the 9 day program...got down to 161 and felt great. MAde sure that I was getting enough calories a day and exercise. Since then I have kept it off and lost 3 more pounds...eating healthy. My body just needed a kick in the butt to get going.
So yes... you might think some people lack willpower...maybe your speaking from experience... but not all do. Some people like the program...some people don't. I'm only doing the one cleanse.... maybe once a year to get the crap out... but letme tell you, I feel better then ever! |

Rep Power: 33 | | There's tons of natural ways to cleanse, why chose a program that costs a buttload of money?
And how come that millions of other people get through their plateau without stuff like that?
Just wondering... |

Rep Power: 0 | | I don't know San. But I can't say I didn't work at it. At the gym daily... weights and HITT cardio. I worked my ass off. My diet was as clean as could be. In 3 months... it barely moved. I'm not a dr... but something wasn't working when it should have been...hence cleansing. As I said.. it worked... not a gimmick...was great! |

Eheh....new here, and I'm already not liking the...tone. Can't say I'll be back to much, but I had to leave my two cents.
Was surprised and delighted to see threads already about Isagenix, found it in a Google search.
To that lovely little comment up there, you obviously have not bothered to do any research whatsoever into what this company IS.
First of all, it is not all about counting calories. Isagenix is a health system, first and foremost, not a diet. It focuses on cleansing toxins from your body, which research is now linking to our tough time losing weight, and getting you the nutrients you need.
No matter how many calories you count, you still are not getting the same nutrients you would have got 10 years ago. Our soil is depleted, our crops full of toxins, and people outside of Isagenix will tell you that. A recent study indicated that you would have to eat 10 bowls of spinach to get the same nutrients from them you would have 1 bowl 10 years ago.
Second of all, you don't stop drinking the shakes, because you don't ever stop needing nutrients. Once you've lost the weight you wanted to, you move to a maintenance plan. I had to do this maintenance plan for 1 month before getting back on my 30 day, and didn't gain anything back.
And last but not least, please, in the future, bother to actually LEARN about what it is you're bashing before you bash it, and have a little bit of decency when it comes to the people you're bashing along with it.
Wow, unimpressed.
