Rep Power: 0 | | I wish my doctor would give me something like that. I have gained about 25-30 in a year...and no one knows why. I haven't done much of anything different..I think it is hormones.
Did you have to provide any other reason to get the meds? Did you gain the weight due to hormones or illness? I am curious because I hope it works for you and I would like to know more about it, if you don't mind.
Good luck to you!

Rep Power: 0 | | Xenical Form Hi everyone. I am a newbie to this site and would like to exchange discussion on Xenical. If anyone is currently taking it or has taken it in the past, please reply and we can keep in touch. I was on it almost 2 years ago and it did work for me. I have since lost almost 55 lbs., and have gained back about 7 of it in the last 6 months so my doctor gave me a 90 day script of Xenical today to try that again.
I hope to hear from some of you.
Have a nice night. |

Rep Power: 0 | | I tried Xenical but I didn't like it. There was no significant weight loss for me and I found I didn't really get adequate on-going support |

Rep Power: 0 | | | Is Lipodrene a good substitute for Xenical? Howdy!
I need some expert who can give me advise regarding Lipodrene and if it can be a substitute for Xenical. I have been taking Xenical and it was effective at first but I think I have to go for Lipodrene since I heard that it is more safer to take this pill and economical…
Thanks for any input from the community!!!

Rep Power: 0 | | | My doctor just put me on this today. He also gave me a water pill, thyroid pill, and Betrol (app suppress). I am a little nervous about taking the Xenical just because of all the horror stories of the side effects. Do you have any tips or suggestions for me? I work 8 hrs a day and do have access to the bathroom of course, but I don't want to deal w/ embarassing "leakage" mainly. |

This may sound funny, but believe me, when you accidently soil yourself repeatedly in a day its not. It starts about a couple days in.
Ive been there done that, it really didnt do much for me other than dissuade me from eating fatty foods
Xenical basicly stops your body from absorbing 30% of all fat you eat. This fat will come out as oil.
Good luck with using it. If it doesnt work out though, feel free to ask others how they are doing, dont just give up |

Rep Power: 22 | | I was on xenical for a short period of time. My doctor actually asked me to stop taking it, I cant recall why but he had attended some seminar and decided he wanted me to do it the old fashioned way. Im sorry, not to scare you at all. My health has not been the greatest due to my being diabetic so he didnt want to take chances. Anyways... wishes is definately right that you need to be prepared for the oil that will come out. It can be a little unexpected ( for goodness sakes dont toot) lol.. I too just avoided fatty foods because i didnt want what would happen after. Also, if it gets on your clothing * the oil* the stains dont come out easily, so just be prepared. I hope it works for you.

Rep Power: 0 | | I've been on Xenical for almost 2 years now. Wishes was right about her recommendations. You can always place a piece of tissue instead. It has worked for me and continue to do so. However, note that this does not promote weight loss, it just prevents you from gaining while eliminating a percentage of your fat comsumption. |

Rep Power: 0 | | Sorry, I don't know anything about Lipodrene, but can you provide me with info about Xenical? I just started taking the tabs last Wednesday. On Saturday, I had my first experience with the oily discharge. It wasn't much because I have been watching my fat intake, about 30% of my diet. My concern is that it happened and I didn't even know about it until I went to the bathroom. After that, so far, it only happened with my bowel movements. Did it take long for this unpleasant experience to disappear for you or does this happen as long as you take the pills? |

Rep Power: 0 | | Goodbye to the drug 'Xenical' !! Well, it was just too good to be true! I've been on Xenical for just over a week and all was great. No really bad side effects but today I have had the most awful stomach pain and really bad 'running to the loo' I've been at work all day and its been a constant worry that I might not make the toilet in time!!
The problem is I have not eaten anything different, I've been eating my low fat diet now and really enjoying it but today was just awful, I also had really bad headaches.
I've decided that I can do this without Xenical. I work a really difficult full time job and just cannot have this worry again. I will lose weight without it and the pain in my stomach right now is enough to never take another blue pill again!
I wanted to do my treadmill tonight but cant because I feel so sick, so I shall just ride it out and hopefully tomorrow my life will be back to normal. |

Rep Power: 6 | | Hi Lilly...I have been on Xenical for a month...this is the second time. I lost 5 stone the first time!! Put a bit of weight back on over a year..but not all of it. I can honestly say I have never had the problems that you describe..however I did learn early on what I can & cannot eat...a little naughtiness results in embarrassing flatulence for me but nothing more serious. When it happens I can nearly always pinpoint where I went wrong and its the 'hidden' fats in processed foods you need to watch..also you need to combine the fat you do consume in a meal which has plenty of dietary fibre. If you have a lot of weight to lose it can help and does have its place. If you need support or dietary advice I'll be happy to help!! I also work ..and as a Community Carer so am often no where near a suitable loo so it can be done!! | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
