Rep Power: 45 | | You're off to an awesome start! To be a bit of a damper for just a second..what I have noticed after a few years on this board is that people often are extremely gung ho in the beginning of their weight loss project, but their interest wains anywhere from a few weeks to a few months down the line. Then poof, they're gone and you either never hear from them again or often they come back months later talking about how they went off their diet and right back to their old habits. They usually gain back all the weight and always at least another 10 lbs on top of that. So I want you to be well prepared for the time when you will lose interest, and will start telling yourself you can have this or that because you've lost weight, or dont feel like exercising, and after a few times of doing this you just give up. Consistency FOREVER is really the key to this. Slipping up is to be expected and are just blips. Its when you totally give up that you're screwed. So when that time comes that you start losing interest, and for 95% of the people who come to our forum that is the case, I suggest you ease up on yourself a LITTLE (meaning eat at maintenance rather than in a calorie deficit) and maybe cut back the exercise, but try to maintain your new lower weight. That will mean that you are still eating well, but are not being nearly as strict as you are now. From there you can try to get back into losing, but just be prepared for this and try to maintain when this happens. In the meantime, you are SMOKING with your weight loss and that is awesome! Best wishes to you . |

Rep Power: 6 | | | Hello... I am also a very bad overeater!!! I have started trying glucomannan, green tea, and cayenne supplements.. I've also heard that glucomannan and hoodia work great together. My problem was that I never would really feel full.. hence, keep eating till I'm stuffed, and I didn't want to put a bunch of chemicals in my body, so I spoke to an herbal specialist about what might be good to get my metabolism going, and what can make me feel fuller so I'll want to eat less... that is a natural supplement and so far the mixture has been doing pretty good, I noticed right away when I took them that umm.. well I had to go to the bathroom But it wasn't like a bad feeling that I would get with the other more chemical man-made stuff, so so far so good... I'll update you and let you know exactly how it goes over time, but it doesn't hurt to try it Best of luck to you and I'll be seeing you around

Rep Power: 0 | | | If you don't have a boyfriend/ a girlfriend, one way to make sure you stick to your regime is to convince yourself that the opposite sex is shallow.
I have a few friends who went with this belief, and now 2 out of 5 of them look STUNNING, with the other three almost there :-) |

Rep Power: 4 | | I've been overweight as a child into my teens and now as an adult. I've tried every diet you can think of. What really has been working for me is not eating a lot of processed foods. I stay away from "white" foods. You know, bread, sugar, flour, pastas and stuff like that. I really love fresh fruit and veggies. Pineapple is my favorite. It's like candy to me because it's so sweet. Most of my carbs come from fruits and veggies. I'll have bread, but it's always whole grain. I allow myself to eat whatever I want for lunch on Sundays. Just so I don't go crazy. What you're doing though is GREAT! You really sound like you have it together. Stay strong! |

Rep Power: 0 | | | Awesome Great job so far, just do your best to stay motivated. To me that's the most important part, as once you lose motivation it can really kill your routine.
