Rep Power: 0 | | | You lost 10lbs in 34 days? That is about as good as you and do without damaging your helth.
I say keep it up and you are doing well.
When I want to reach for that cookie or extra fries, I think about my brother being a Marine Core LT and the willpower he had to have to make it to his rank. Then, it makes it pretty easy not to stuff my face. |

Rep Power: 0 | | | Good start and congrats on keeping to your routine.
You mentioned having issues with overeating.
These are often tied to emotional issues.
You're unhappy about something and reach for a food to comfort you.
Break that connection and you can overcome the overeating issue.
Keep your eye on your goals, remind yourself of them every day and imagine what you look like and feel when you reach them. Continue that every day.
Great job on your progress and keep it up!

Rep Power: 0 | | Sounds like without family to cheer you on, that you may start overeating due to stress or depression. Do you have any hobbies or sports that you are into? Start with something slow if necessary, I find that cross-stitching or crocheting is relaxing plus you get a sense of accomplishment when you have finished a project. Hey, what the heck, get enough of them done you can sell them to make money and then what do you have? A real sense of accomplishment and a great boost of self esteem to the point you feel you can do anything.
I was really bad off myself because my dad was always putting me down because of my weight, but now with the weight loss program I am now, I am losing the weight, I have gained the energy...and I still have my hobbies that I have worked on and can sell.
Main thing is don't let anyone tell you that you cant do something, you can do anything you put your mind to and much more. Hobbies also keep the hands and mind busy and keep you from thinking about food.
I wish you the best of luck, and you can always email me for encouragement and support. Been there, done that, got the T'shirt...ripped it up and threw it away!!!

I know it sounds silly, but if you have water with you all the time you're more likely to drink it than to get up and find something else. Water can help you keep that "full" feeling--at least it helps me.
Plus i know i didn't get over 200lbs by being super active, so in my laziness i'd rather drink my water which is always right next to me than go and find something.
It's cheap too!!
Best of luck! |

Rep Power: 0 | | when i lost weight what i did was think of something bigger than the enjoyment of food. i looked at food as nourishment and it was easier to look at food as a tool and not a pleasure because i got into fitness training my body. as far as family can go i think its a shame you dont have help, i didnt either as a teen, and my family is lazy and overweight and i lost the weight on my own with out their support. i mean its me loosing weight not them. remember that loosing weight isnt easy and its a very tough thing to over come and master your own body. the rate your loosing weight is healthy. eating less is one thing and eating healthy is another. balancing those two you can get to your goal weight.
