Rep Power: 0 | | | Herbal Magic Hi there! I'm just wondering if anyone has tried Herbal Magic? I just started the program on Tuesday, so I'm new to this. If anyone could share their story or some tips, that would be appreciated! Thanks |

Rep Power: 72 | | Never heard of it, but if it's a pill to help you lose weight, it isn't going to work. Pills don't work. Eating less and exercising ... that's the answer to losing weight. |

Rep Power: 0 | | Thanks for the reply Kara. Herbal magic is a program that I think, is only available in Canada. The basis around the program is healthy eating, portion size etc. You do take supplements, they are to boost your energy and help curb hunger...also a CLA pill too. YOu have to go for weigh in's 3 times a week...which I think is good..it kind of keeps you accountable. I've only been on the program for less than a week, but I am finding that I like it so far. You have to keep a food journal that they checkover when you go for weigh in's to make sure you are ealing properly, and enough.
I'm new to this site and there is so much great information on here. Everyone seems so friendly to! Its really motivation knowing there are so many others with the same weight issues...its nice to not feel so alone! |

Rep Power: 0 | | Heyo. My sister did it for a bit. and the ONLY reason she lost weight was because she controlled what she ate. As soon as she stopped following their diet she gained weight again. The pills did nothing even though she kept on taking them. |

Rep Power: 0 | | I've been on it for exactly one month today. I do agree its learning what to eat..again! lol..I |believe its the best for me. Its 100% healthy eating, and if you go off of this healthy eating when your done, of course your going to gain the weight back. Although its unfortunate that happens, my councillor did tell me that this program IS a whole life change, and that would happen if when the program is done I go back to my old ways.
So for me....exactly 4 weeks today...I'm down 18lbs...and starting to feel fantastic
Gogan...I'd love to compare notes....keep in touch |

Rep Power: 11 | | all fat loss pills on the market today are 100% plecebo. Back when ephedrine was legal those pills did have a thermodynamic effect, but since the ban, ALL replacements for ephedrine don't effect the adrenoceptors in the body the same way. the net effect in terms of fat loss for any pill on the market vs plecebo cannot be measured. (ie: doesn't work)
If you are seeing success on this program it's cause of there being a diet component that will reteach you to hit the calories in vs calories out equation. |

Rep Power: 0 | | Sometimes people find it a good motivator when they weigh in weekly and have to account for their eating habits. On the other hand I have to agree that most diet pills are just a waste of money.
What is important is good eating habits combined with exercise. I have nothing against any program like that other that my hard earned money is too valuable. I look for programs that provide the benefits without me paying through my teeth.
If it helps, go for it. Just remember to not go "off" the program but stick to it once you quit and continue to eat appropriately and exercise regularly. |

I disagree with most of you. I agree a pill cannot make you lose weight, but I've used Yers by Natural Medleys when I did Jenny Craig -- it kick started my metabolism, helped me from being hungry and has aided in my maintenance for two years now. It's all natural, but yes, it works best with diet and exercize.
| I suspect a great deal of it is simply the psychological benefit of your belief that the pill works.
Even if the pills cause some thermogenic boost, it wouldn't be enough to cause a significant fat loss. And eventually your body becomes accustomed to whatever boost and it ceases to be effective in a physical sense.
However if taking some kind of pill makes you FEEL that you're burning fat, then that can translate into a psychological benefit that helps keep you on track. |

Rep Power: 0 | | Hi all! I appreciate all comments and suggestions. I just wanted to clear something up. The program is not all about pills and supplements. Thats NOT at all what its about. We take chromium and an appetite suppressant to help with cravings and hunger. Thats all....By no means does the program promise you weightloss from pills. The program is designed to changes your eating habbits....all fresh food...proper portion sizes...and little to no sodium. Thats it! YOU do all the hard work...and believe me...its a struggle at times..but I'm getting there. I'm sorry if I had mislead anyone on the purpose of the program Please continue to leave comments and suggestions
To date I've lost 20lbs....6 weeks...from healthy eating....and I've recently started using my treadmill for more than a dust collector! lol |

Rep Power: 6 | | well hey whatever gets you motivated and doing it right is most important..which it sounds like you are..except maybe for the appetite suppressant pills and whatnot..something about shutting off the signals my body sends to me scares me quite a bit |

Rep Power: 0 | | | I've seen the Herbal Magic ads. It is tempting, but I tend to disbelieve any ad that says guaranteed. Also, do you know what the ingredients are? If it's just a herbal laxative that's not too exciting, but I don't know what the formula is. |

Rep Power: 0 | | Hi there. Dispite everything you have heard...the PILLS have absolutley nothing to do with it...I believe anyways! It really is a habit changing program. I've been on it for 8 weeks now, and I"ve found its working great for me. It teaches you how to eat properly...its a lot of work in the beginning...buying fresh produce and fruit and meat. A lot less starch that what I'd always been used to...but its working. I'm down 26lbs and 32" off my body. Another big thing with the program I would say is being accountable. You have to go for weigh in's 3 times a week (if you can)...for myself I'm afraid of failure, and I know I have to face them...so thats what keeps me on track and not cheating!
I wouldn't encourage or discourage anyone from the program...everyone is different...it takes a lot of hard work and will power, and commitment to get through.
If you had any other questions I'd be more than happy to answer anything
