Rep Power: 0 | | | Weight Moves Has anyone tried the Weight Moves plan? Would love to hear how others have found it.
I was skeptical at first but all in it went well. I lost 30 pounds in two weeks. A crazy amount of weight I know but when you're my size a quick fix diet sounds good!
Seriously, they discourage you to continue the diet beyond two weeks unless you pass it by your GP so this Friday I have an appointment with my Doctor for a general check up and a look over the plan.
Will let you know the out come. |

Rep Power: 85 | | That sounds like a really unhealthy rate of weight loss. I do hope that you are getting all the nourishment that you need and not doing one of those silly VLCD diets that allows your muscle to waste (including heart muscle) and does nothing to teach you new eating habits. These are just as unhealthy if you eat next to no calories in food as if you eat next to no calories in branded shakes...
Too many people have their health suffer on those (or worse!!!!) and then put all the weight back on at the end...
Yoyo-ing is always bad - but it is even worse if you lose A LOT of weight and then gain A LOT of weight again...
Do look after your health. It is perfectly possible to lose a lot of weight very quickly via regular exercise and healthy eating. I did and still eat tons of food. In fact I eat more than I did when I was big and am very very healthy now.
Be careful!

Rep Power: 70 | | I'm skeptical. 30 lbs in two weeks means you burned 105,000 calories in total or 52,000 calories a week.
If you weigh, say 200 lbs, that means you naturally burn about 20,000 calories per week, just by existing. So assuming you didn't eat anything for 2 weeks, that leaves 32,000 calories you had to burn off in another way. Please do tell us how you did enough exercise do burn 32,000 calories per week consistently while not eating, without passing out or dying?
Because I think you're lying.
And Samra, Omega lost weight the same way I did - by watching what she eats and getting exercise. |

Cutting to the chase - firm control of a healthy diet - with lots of very healthy food and regular exercise.
There is a link to my photos near the end of my diary too...
Any diet that drops as much weight as quickly as the weight moves people advertise is bound to be very unhealthy. People's bodies are not designed to drop weight that quickly... In my opinion - you would be better off at your current weight. If you check the media thread there was a really sad story recently of a young woman who died because she went on a VLCD. People are acquiring all sorts of medical problems with them.
It you lose too much weight - you have to remember that it isnt just fat that you lose. People lose muscle (including heart muscle - and who wants a weak heart for the rest of their lives), and can erode their bones. Quite aside from anything else - if you lose any muscle - then you will not burn as many calories at rest as you otherwise would - so you are even more likely to put on weight into the future.
Do it the healthy way and stay at least as healthy as you are and become more healthy every day.

You can go back to the start and follow a year in my life during my weight loss. It is pretty complete from Sept 07 to Sept 08. I lost a fair bit of weight during that period and it covers what I did.
I had lost a reasonable amount of weight before I joined the forum. I only discovered the forum when I hit a horrible plateau and needed to do some research to get myself losing weight again.
I stopped making so many entries after that. Things diverted me at home - and I began to concentrate my efforts on helping others in other sections as my own project was changing phase to one of getting used to being a new shape. I also hang out a fair bit on another forum these days... |

I worry about people when they are impressed by the claims of unhealthy diet companies. Too many of these companies leave spam on these pages. I would hate anyone to harm their health in any way - so I always feel that I have to speak out.
I know what it is like to feel desperate. To feel that you have a problem which is too big for "normal methods"...
You can see that we really can make our weight loss dreams come true with consistent exercise and firm healthy eating. |

Rep Power: 0 | | Hi Kara, I'm obese so the weight fell off me a lot quicker than it would a person who is a lot slimmer. Even though I'm still losing weight I'm not losing it as fast as before. Yes I will admit it was tough going. I also exercised a lot at home. I have been told that it probably wasn't fat I was losing but in fact muscle but I was looking for a quick solution as the weight was effecting my self esteem to the point were I dreaded leaving the house. | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
