Has anyone heard of Acupunture and TCM for Weight Loss

Has anyone tried Acupuncture and TCM. I saw the new artcle:

CTV News | Chinese clinic treats obesity with acupuncture

I'm not super overweight, but I have some hormonal and digestive issues, and am having trouble getting over some of my cravings. I managed to elimate some of the worst foods for almost a month, and I get far less cravings for them now, but there's still a few that I'm having trouble with.

It surprised me, but a couple people recommended acupuncture and/ or TCM, especially for when you have digestive/hormonal/apetite/addiction imbalances which the acupuncture can help correct. Then I saw the news clip a while ago, and have been doing a bit of research on acupuncture and looking for places to try in the Toronto (Canada) area.

Has anyone else tried Acupuncture, or can you recommend somewhere in Toronto that's good?

Post Acupunture and EFT for Weight Loss

Hi Tammy,

I have heard of some people using acupuncture with limited success. There is a great technique that is an alternative form of acupressure called Emotional Freedom Techniques or EFT for short. You just tap on the energy meridians and release the negative emotions and desire to eat unhealthy foods.

I use it all the time and it works wonders. The real results come when you tap for the underlying issues of your desire to eat, such as stress, boredom, etc.

Just do a search for EFT for weight loss. You might search for EFT practitioners in the Toronto area. There are also many that can help you by phone.

Hi Froggy,

Thanks for the info. I've heard of EFT before, but don't really know that much about it. I'll definitely look into it as well. It sounds like it might be very helpful with the emotional aspect, but I think I still need something to help balance my digestive and hormonal systems as well. So I might try the acupuncture/TCM for that and something like the EFT for the emotional/apetite aspect if I can afford both.

Accupuncture Works

Accupuncture is a method involved which lays down the identification of certain nerves that are related to particular organs of the body. These organ points are spread mainly in the palm of hand and the down leg surface. But the major issue is that the person who treats must well be knowledged about very basic details as it is not so easy as shown in accupuncture books.
