Weight Loss Programs

Atkins, Fit for Life, Jenny Craig – there are almost as many weight loss programs as people who want to lose weight! Sharing our experiences here will help us all get a handle on the wealth of information — and misinformation — out there.

Yep, protein shakes are good. the one im using has 88calories per scoop, Less than 1g of sugar, carbs and 0% fat. And it has 17.5% protein. 88 calories isnt bad at all per scoop. I usually have about 3 scoops after a workout, and 2 slices of whole wheat bread with a slice of ham. Protein shakes shouldnt be taken as a meal replacement though, eat somethin with it, even if its just a banana or veggies or a salad. Plus the protein shake fills me up along with my sandwich. Search for a whey protein powder that doesnt use soy.

I spent over $300 onthe Medifast plan. The shakes tasted pretty good but I had absolutely HORRIBLE headaches, and after 5 days I sent the whole thing back for a full refund. I wasn't hungry with the plan but the headaches were unbearable. I went to the Medifast board and people there complain of the same issue...not worth it for me

Thumbs up Herbalife

I am actually doing Herbalife and it works really well. I have been doing it for 8 weeks so far and have lost 25 lbs. 26 inches, I went from a size 24 to a 16! I have so much more energy too. I actually did try Atkins, The Biggest Looser, and Body For Life. These diets worked but I gave up within a month and gained all my weight back and felt deprived from eating. All I know is that I have lost 25 lbs and 26 inches and Herbalife has been working really well for me. All of Herbalife shakes and other supplements are low in carbohydrates, low in sugar, low in fat, low in salt, high in vitamins, high in minerals, high in protein and high in Fiber.

And what about the vitamins? I get dry lips when I stop eating real food. Our bodies need vitamins, not only calories...

I think meal replacement drink is a useful tool to ensure that the body has all the nutrients and yet restrict on calories. But users must find the kind that you can drink or you are willing to consume. No point spending big bulks on one type and in the end, feel deprived or can't stand drinking them.
