If you don't eat the required amount of calories and dont excercise; you will definetly lose wt in the beginning but you will also slow down your metabolism and after some time your body will go into a storage mode and start storing all the food you eat for the fear that it may not get sufficient food. It is better to eat 6 small meals a day with the right balance of protein/carbs and good fats and excercise atleast 3 times a week. Does not have to be hard just simple walking will suffice.
