hi i've been told time and again that the majority of these are a con and probably a glorified vitamin supplement (if not worse) but i'm desperate to lose weight, i'm hoping to get married a year this november and have a 6 stone target (i know i've high hopes) so far despite trying my hardest (only started a week ago) i've managed to put a ld on!!
does anyone take any or believe that they work? does anyone have any recommendations?
also feel free to slap my wrists and tell me to put the effort in and stop wasting money i dont have
any opinions appreciated, michelle xxx

Put the money you would spend on diet pills and put it towards your honeymoon or other wedding costs...
If you don't have one, start one soon, that is a food journal, the online ones are handy because they do all the addition for you... www.fitday.com is easy and the one i use... Then be totally honest with yourself to see where your calories are going.. My bet is you will be surprised...
Once you know where your calories are going, it's easier to cut back...
I use diet pills. IF you use them, I think after about a week you have gotten all the help from them you're going to get. After that you just get use to taking them and dont think they do that much more for you. Just my two cents..............
I use Hydroxycut but just short term. The best way is always portion control, cut out junk food and exercise. Reduce amount of calories coming in(healthy eating), while increasing amount of calories being expended (exercise). But I kick start with Hydroxycut.
Eat small meals throughout the day. If you're an emotional overeater, this is especially good. Fruit and walnuts in the morning, yogurt snack mid-morning, tuna sandwich on brown for lunch, wasa bread with hummus spread for afternoon snack, fruit snack, supper should be chicken or fish with a veggie and small, small portion of carb like rice, potato or pasta. NO EATING after supper, period.
And then make sure to either walk or jog or some kind of cardio every day. The weight will peel off, and fast.
I find Hydroxycut helps with cravings and gives me energy.
I tried hydroxy-cut and it gave me the jitters. Though this was back when everything had ephedrine in it. Now that I have lost the weight I have I don't need anything for energy. I do take lepotril to cut the sugar cravings. They are loaded with caffeine but I still don't get any bad effects from it. Though it is strange not having that coffee in the mornings. I hope starbucks are still around without my constant support lol.. Now I'm losing weight just by eating right and cutting out the white starches. Not that the starches are bad for yo but they send my sugar cravings into overdrive. Now I opt for more veggies and fruits and leaner meat. I tried to get off of meat and the carnivore in my tummy wouldn't hear of it. I think it does come down to simply eating right.

Weight loss pills or FAT BURNERS refer to the hundreds of products on the market today that can be purchased over the counter. Their purpose is to somehow burn off the fat by speeding up metabolism, or blocking fat in foods, or other methods.
The companies that sell these products employ savvy marketing techniques to hook you, with bold print ads and sometimes less than believable before and after pictures.
Are these products safe? They are not regulated by the FDA so these companies can put whatever herb, vitamin, or mineral in them as long as the substance isn’t illegal. Their have been few, if any, long term studies on any one of the hundreds of fat burners on the market.
DO THEY WORK? Many of these products have been shown to be effective for fat loss, though they may have negative side effects. Be aware these products can cause side effects such as rapid pulse, increased blood pressure, constipation, nervousness, sleeplessness, and lack of appetite.
Are they healthy to you and your weight loss goals? The jury is still out on the health benefits of any fat burner. These products should be looked at as temporary fixes to weight loss.
Most of them cause a decrease in appetite, which can lead you into a situation of not consuming enough calories on a daily basis. If you aren’t eating enough daily calories your body responds by slowing your metabolism, storing fat, and using muscle for metabolism. This can result in you losing weight, but muscle instead of fat.
Fat burners might help you lose some weight in the short term, but once you stop taking them you run a high probability of gaining the weight back, especially if you aren’t following a healthy eating plan and moderate exercise program.
I agree with Jet4me2fly. I have tried diet pills. What it have gievn me is the bad side effects of the pills. Please everyone do not try the diet pills. There are many ways to lose weight.
i got some pills called zantrex-3 and i think they work but im not too sure. when i take them i keep wondering if they are working and then i feel to have lose weight... i dont kno if its psychological or not! when i first took them it was horrible... if youve never drunk coffee before then you need to start on a low dose. stupidly i took 3 thinking i would b fine and my friend said she thought i was on speed or something. i couldnt keep still, i had palpitations, couldnt breathe properly, had the biggest headache ever, was sweating really bad and kept going hot and cold and kept going dizzy and nearly falling over... and thats not even half of it!
so if you take diet pills then read the label first and dont take the normal dose first or you might regret it. does anybody know of any natural ones that actually work?
Stacker 2 Worked for me. I swear by em. but i guess my body got use to it and it was working as well but yesterday i got stacker 3 cuz im also desprate to lose weight. Ill let u kno how that goes. I tried zantrex 3 and trimspa....it was garbage to me. Ill only use stacker. stacker 2 and stacker 2 xp really work and my cousin used stacker 3 and liked it. so I think u should give stacker a try
im still not quite sure myself if they really do work but they make me feel better when i think they are working. kind of a motivation thing i think but i think its all psychological
