Rep Power: 0 | | | lose weight fast I lost 18 pounds in one month through my exercise plan and the supplements that I take. They help me burn fat and it gives my energy to keep going through the day.

Rep Power: 0 | | Sarah, seriously, save your money, and future dissapointment. Think about it? Are you going to drink slim fast for the rest of your life IF you hit your goal weight? Doubtful, That stuff is a scam and its just another way of doing what you should be doing.
Start limiting your calories to 1200-1500 a day and get in an hour of exercise a night. simple as that. |

Rep Power: 10 | | I LOVE the shakes (Kroger off brand - Slim-rite try the Chocolate Royal) I think they're great. I noticed someone had put that they tend to cause constipation.. the first time I used them, it was the total oposite of that.. I stopped dieting there for a while (got lazy) and just started again and they're not doing anything to me this time around.. no idea why but I am NOT complaining lol Good Luck! |

Rep Power: 0 | | | If you get in the mood to try something else, Spiru-tein (sp?) makes a great chocolate-peanut butter shake. Less sugar and has soy, and you can mix it with ice and water and IMO it tastes a lot better than slim fast. |

Rep Power: 0 | | I use slim fast as a kick start, not a long term plan. I'll do all the "right things" for awhile shed some pounds and then get to the dreaded plateau were it seems you just can't loose another ounce. When I get there I'll go on a very strict slim fast diet for one week. 1 shake for breakfast a meal replacement bar for lunch and then a diet dinner for supper, and one or 2 of their snack bars when I feel hungry. That plus an hour or so on the elliptical trainer per day (after the cal's I've burned subtracted from the cal's I've eaten it equals about 500 for the day) I know that's really low and bad bad bad on a long term basis but when I do it for one week when I'm stuck I drop about 4-7lbs and then go right back to doing things the right way. Balanced diet and exercise and it really helps me get going again.
Just my 2 cents |

Rep Power: 0 | | keep in mind fast weight loss is nice, but healthy weight loos is around 10 - 12 lbs a month. Loosing quicker than that can be dangerious to your body.. I have heard of cases where instead of burning fat the body was starving the muscles and it did much harm.
Just be careful all, and happy dieting
P.S. Going beneith 1000 calories a day is just not good peoples! Dieting is not about not eating... or eating little.. its about eating right! |

Rep Power: 0 | | | Hm... some people do love slim fast shakes! Is the producing brand the same in all cases? Maybe that`s something to do with different brand producing the stuff?
But to me... I would`t be able to survive long on those chakes!

Rep Power: 0 | | Slim Fast? since i've been back from vacation, i've completely slacked off with exercising. i've cut down on my food intake though so i'm not putting on more calories than i'm burning.
anyway, i was at CVS the other day and i saw Slim Fast in the food section. I was reading on the back of one of the shakes to see what all was involved in the program and it looked pretty good to me.
has anyone had any experience in slim fast and did it work for you? i'd like to get some feedback before i buy the stuff.
thanks a lot! |

Rep Power: 31 | | Slim-fast tastes great for the first couple of days....and then you start to want real food. I tried it a long time ago and didn't have any results. Besides, it's a quick fix kind of fad. Sure you could probably lose weight with it, that is if you can stomach the shakes, but you're not really solving any of the issues that you have with actual food. I'd leave it on the shelves and try the good ol' eat right and exercise method. |

Rep Power: 81 | | I agree with Katie on this 1 they are good for maybe a breakfast substitude but couldnt do all day and have a sensible dinner!Depends on the person.I personally like lowcalorie 1,200-1,400 you are not limited on your foods example if you want a taco, coney sandwhitch chicken potatoes pudding ice cream candy chips pasta ect you can have any of those just in a healthier way.Alot of stuff comes lowfat/fatfree ect!
