Atkins, Fit for Life, Jenny Craig – there are almost as many weight loss programs as people who want to lose weight! Sharing our experiences here will help us all get a handle on the wealth of information — and misinformation — out there.

Hey all.......instead of starving my self all day then binging at night I thought I'd try something new today = that will hopefully last with me. I think! I ate breakfast, Kashi cereal & a grapefruit. 2 hours later I was starving, ate a Yoplait Light. 2 hours later I was starving again, ate a banana. I've got deli turkey and 2 string cheese for lunch and then an apple for an afternoon snack. I hope that's enough till I can get home to eat the raw vegies I cut up last night.
Is being constantly hungry a good thing? Will that feeling go away if I stick with this schedule?
I exercise during my lunch break. I figure that will make me even more hungry - - - this is all strange.
Have a great day!
Yes the feeling will go away! Don't worry, just keep at it. The very first day of my diet I almost fainted. But you seem to be a bit more sensible than I was. You'll do fine if you keep that up.
Only suggestion I have is to maybe add some lean meat in there, either broiled fish, boneless skinless chicken, or perhaps some lean steak.

Yay another Minnesotan!
I'm sorry I am late responding to this but I just joined and saw this and I had to respond. I think you're on the right track. From what I have been seeing and reading, it's better to eat small things 5-7 times a day than to eat big meals 3 times a day and snack besides. So it seems to me that you are doing fine.
how can you possibally think starving yourself will help? it wont youll never lose weight that way you need to eat when your hungry stop when your not if your hungry eat !! thats what food is for to nourish ourselves when we need to and fainting ? not good be carefull you dont want to end up in the hospital

As long as you're eating healthy, eating every 2 hours is great!
It means your metabolism is speeding up and you're burning a lot of calories throughout the day.
because you're eating breakfasts and more food in the morning you're actually speeding up your metabolism.
This is why you're hungry more now. Just make sure the foods are mostly fruit and veg or the stuff you've been eating and its a nice easy way to loose
Pretty much as the others said - your system will adjust eventually, keep up the excellent work!
If you continue to always be starving you could consider taking some appetite suppressants. But, your body does need food though, so eat healthy and don't starve yourself. Just make sure you're exercising as well, that's the key.
