There are so many diets around making these ridiculous claims.
Even if it were possible to lose that much weight in such a short amount of time it would be extremely dangerous.
There are a lot of toxins in your body that are fat soluble. When you lose fat, these toxins are released into your blood stream and have to pass through your kidneys. The release of such a large amount of fat would potentially damage your kidneys.
The only sensible way to lose weight is through a healthy low calorie diet and to monitor your rate of weight loss to prevent it from happening too quickly.
This does not necessarily mean calorie counting, although that will always work. Sticking to food with low energy density is just as effective and does away with the need to keep track of every scrap you eat.
If there is anything I have learned from dieting, being desperate to loose weight is the worst way to start out. For all you out there who are still so curious about this 18 in 4 weight loss, I wish I could email everyone the download. However, I wasted 4 days on the diet, and dont want to waste any more time/money getting sued. (i got my money back after it didn't work, so if you have to try it, keep in mind that guarantee.) As someone who tried this diet, and as a nurse, I can tell all of you that this diet is not healthy. Stick to a diet that gives you enought calories in each day to not be starving, and dont plan on loosing more than 1-2 lbs/week. This is a gradual, but sure way to loose weight and stick to your goals without rebound. Something i did that really helped was to count calories. If you strickly count your calories every day for a week, this will show you where you are getting all your calories from. For example, if you have a sweet, you will need a smaller dinner portion. If you have a day with no sweets, you will be able to eat more regular, healthy foods that day and be less hungry.

I agree that calorie counting is an excellent way of dieting, for the reasons that lori nurse has stated.
An excellent source of data is United States Department of Agriculture. There is a database on the site listing over 7000 different foods with a detailed nutritional breakdown (including calories).
I used this site when calculating energy density for The Density Diet. For anyone interested this is a free download that proposes a way of following a healthy, low calorie diet for people who don't have the time to count calories.
If you do have the time though, counting calories (and if possible other nutritional values) is always going to be the most effective method.

Lori nurse im suprised to hear that you didnt find the diet helpfull because ive done some research on this diet and every single person whos used this diet lost weight apart from you ( i guess it wont work for every one), i really wanna try this diet am dying to try it but am low on funds at the moment. Is it possible you can email me and send me the diet?? i no this is very cheeky of me but im desperate please i will really really really appreciate it.
Please email me sharon_1984@hotmail.co.uk
look forward to hearing from you
Thanks
Be careful following something like this. Extremely low calories, and doing all you can to shed water weight - you absolutely will lose weight. But it's the kind of weight that you gain back instantly. Certainly not the kind of weight loss that will last a lifetime. Stick to a healthy diet and exercise and the weight will come off.

Hi There
Well I am currently on this diet, and while still a little sceptical that you can lose between 17-19lbs on it so far this is my 3rd day, I feel great full of energy and alert! I don't feel hungry and although the food is bland I can certainly put up with that for 4 days! So I will post my weight loss at the end of my 4 days and let you know. The guy also does a maintenance plan to follow afterwards with exercise for continued steady weight loss.
I think it's well worth a try as it's only 4 days and he offers a 10 day money back guarantee and payment is taken though pay pal so you are protected and can easily claim funds back if you don't think it was worth it. Note to Lori Nurse; the diet states specifically NO EXERCISE during the 4 day detox! Only exercise with the maintenance plan

Like I said earlier, its really only good if you have a wheat, white sugar, or dairy sensitivity, because that is mostly what you don't consume for 4 days... and if thats the case, who wouldn't feel better after giving the body a break from foods that don't digest well. You can put together your own diet- i.e. restricted calories, restricted foods and its free. Better still, lose weight the safe and natural way- the way where your body hardly feels stressed because you are never starving!
You have to remember that unless you are about 400lbs + you will not lose 18lbs in 4 days.
cheers to all.

ok, so i am one of the loosers who tried the 18 in 4 diet, and yes, I made the guy give me my money back. It was completely unhealthy. I added up the calories of the meals each day, and we were only getting about 700 calories. Basically, you starve yourself and drink lots of coffee, water, and tea. I exercized on the first day, and payed for it for the rest of the day with extreme hunger, headache, and lack of energy. Finally the last day, (which I stopped the diet after lunch) the diet consists of 3 cups of prune juice (1 at lunch and 2 at dinner). He says there is no laxitives?!?! That night, I got Cafe Rio for dinner and gained all 3 pounds back that I had lost. Yes, I was stupid for ever trying it......dont do it.
I am one of those losers who tried it too. How did you get him to refund the money? I am sick eating the foods, I didn't make it through the first day and he will not not refund my money or reply to my emails. I have contacted my credit card to dispute the charge...but how did you do it?

I would like to know how Lori Nurse got her refund. I didn't know what food was on it until I paid for the diet. I tried it for half a day and it made me sick...I hate all of the foods on it (excep chicken and hamburger). I have requested my money back, but he said no. I am starting the dispute process with my credit card company. Any idea how I can get this jerk to own up to his own guarantee?

We also had a hard time getting the refund. We emailed him several times before he replied, and that was after my husband initiated a complaint with pay pal. The guy apologized and said that it was because my emails were going to his bulk, and he didn't receive them. However, the emails i sent him before purchasing the diet were received, and h replied within hours. obviously he was lying.
Note to chicaguapa: any diet that says no excercise is crap. The american heart association specifically says to exercise 30-45 min/day 5-7 days a week. For me, going to work alone was too much exercise to have any energy with this diet.

This is a scary thread. Sounds like you are just ridding yourself of water and poop. Do you poop like crazy with all that prune juice?
When I started the 6 Week Body Makeover, the food was bland (no salt, no fat, no sugar), so I lost 7 pounds the first week. I must have been like a giant water balloon. Now 3 weeks later, I've only taken off an additional 3 pounds.

Lori Nurse, Thanks for your reply. I didn't pay for this through pay pal and used my credit card. I called them to start the process to dispute the charge. When I let the guy know I did this, he started threatening me so now I am unsure what to do. I am afraid he could somehow mess with my credit card, etc. Any more advice? I hate to just drop it because I hate to give such a creep my hard-earned money, but I'm nervous. To anyone else out there, don't even deal with this guy.

Call me dummy Lori Nurse, unfortunately, I bought the diet before reading anyones comment in this forum. I just decided to google the program and I found you guys! Wish me lots of luck ChicaGuappa because I start tomorrow with my husband. I don't know about you guys but I just need to loose about 20lbs...thatis why the diet looked so good. I can undertstand the method to this guys madness too, it seems to make sense, but either way I'll let you kind folks know. Even if I lose 10 lbs, its still a win for me.
