Rep Power: 0 | | | Has anyone heard of the 18 in 4 diet ?? Hello all
I am new to the forum and I am looking for program (with somewhat fast results) that would be a good jump start to motivate me while losing weight and I was wondering if anyone has heard of the 18 in 4 diet ( www.18in4.com) It is saying that you can lose up to 18 pounds in 4 days and the program is $27 to download. Has anyone tried this program before? If so, were your results positive and could you give more detail of the program? Or if you have any other suggestions that could help me on the road to success then I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks

Rep Power: 10 | | I highly doubt you can lose 18 pounds in 4 days and keep it off. I would definitly try Weight Watchers or any Billy Blanks Tae-Bo / E-Lite / Boot-Camp workout video. I'm currently doing Billy Blanks and it's doing AMAZING..you see results so fast..within 3 days. |

Rep Power: 51 | | I think the only way to lose that much weight in 4 days is to cut off your leg
You may want fast results, but it's better to put your health first. |

Rep Power: 217 | | 18 pounds in 4 days isnot safe, it's also not going to be effective for long term weight loss - it sounds like the ideal solution for the person trying to fit into a dress fora big event- and as soon as she eats real food-- kaplooey there goes the zipper...
You will notice there are no hands in the picture- so maybe all he did was chop off his hands... bingo that'd lose some weight...
Eh... stick with waht works.. |

Rep Power: 0 | | Forget it, Sweeteeak1, we've taken a look at the 18in4 Diet and will be reviewing it shortly. Just like other diets such as the 3 Day Diet that promise rapid weight loss, it's a cynical ploy to get desperate dieters to part with their hard earned cash.
Think of it this way. There are 3,500 calories in 1lb of fat. To lose 18lbs of body fat you'd need to burn 63,000 calories of body fat. In other words, 15,750 calories a day. The average woman burns 2,000 calories a day. How are you going to burn an extra 13,750 calories a day? You only burn around 2,600 calories running a marathon! It's just not possible.
1-2lbs a day is the max healthy, safe weight loss you should aim for. Anything above that in the first week or two of a diet is water. If you want a formal diet, there are plenty of good ones out there to try - diets that don't make ridiculous weight loss claims! Don't waste your money.
Hope this helps,
Marcus |

Rep Power: 0 | | Yep...the triumph of clever marketing - bet he's making a fortune!
By the way, in my previous post I meant the safe weight loss is 1-2lbs A WEEK, not a day. I'll take care proof reading next time!
Cheers,

Rep Power: 0 | | I don't know, sounds a little far fetched if you ask me.
The best I've found now is the herbalife plan... I DON'T WORK FOR HERBALIFE. I have had good results with that and so have several of my friends, but to be honest. It is fairly similar to weightwatchers though. |

Rep Power: 0 | | I saw that too...it looked like heaven!! I emailed him to ask about it, and he said:
"Its a chemical based diet in the sense that the foods you eat cancel each other and speeds up your metabolism and provides a body cleanse".
But i think it's mainly to do with water weight, as a lot of diets that promise really fast weight loss actually work on the scales, as you lose a lot of water weight, but as soon as that is replaced, it goes back up again!
I think the slow steady weight loss is the best, though it's the most irritating!! I would love to be able to lose 18lbs in 4 days!! |

Rep Power: 19 | | | 18 Pounds in 4 Days?? lol Wow, I just saw that ad at the top of this page and clicked on it. There's a skinny guy sitting down, showing his ripped abs and claiming for twenty seven dollars you can lose 18 pounds in four days on eggs, grapefruit and god knows what else! LOL
Man oh man.
The truth is 18 pounds should take at the very least NINE weeks to lose. |

Rep Power: 0 | | That would be almost impossible on any diet. If you have loads of water retention then it might work. But that would be pointless, you would just be dehydrated and fat rather than hydrated and fat lol. |

Rep Power: 0 | | I would only reccomend the 18in4 to you if you have tried lots of programs before and are up for the challenge of eating specific foods for four days as well as exercising. If you believe you have a wheat, dairy, or sugar allergy or sensitivity then these four days will make you feel great! And yes you will lose some weight but it would only be permanent if you are already or are ready to make permanent changes in your life - i.e. healthy eating and daily exercise.
Hope this helps. |

Rep Power: 10 | | any diet where you could lose that much weight that quickly isn't going to be permanent. And while it sure sounds nice to lose 20 pounds in a few days, just think of how frustrating it would be when a little while later it was all back. . |

Rep Power: 0 | | ok, so i am one of the loosers who tried the 18 in 4 diet, and yes, I made the guy give me my money back. It was completely unhealthy. I added up the calories of the meals each day, and we were only getting about 700 calories. Basically, you starve yourself and drink lots of coffee, water, and tea. I exercized on the first day, and payed for it for the rest of the day with extreme hunger, headache, and lack of energy. Finally the last day, (which I stopped the diet after lunch) the diet consists of 3 cups of prune juice (1 at lunch and 2 at dinner). He says there is no laxitives?!?! That night, I got Cafe Rio for dinner and gained all 3 pounds back that I had lost. Yes, I was stupid for ever trying it......dont do it. |
