Rep Power: 217 | | Apple Cider Vinegar Diet at the Diet Channel
Apple cider vinegar is an acidic solution produced by fermenting apples. The combination of the acidic vinegar and fruit pectin is supposedly the reason behind this solution's "fat burning effects". Daily Intake of Apple Cider Vinegar
In order to complete the diet, you must take one, two, or three teaspoons of apple vinegar before each meal. While it can be quite difficult to get three teaspoons down initially, after a couple of days most people have no problem working up to it. Any more than three is most likely beyond what your stomach can handle anyway, due to the strongly acidic nature of the vinegar. Does the Apple Cider Vinegar Diet Work?
Like many other fad diets, it's not clear as to whether there are any properties in the vinegar that will help you lose weight. The primary reason that this diet would work is that you are told to eat moderate portions, watch the nutritional composition of the food you eat, and get exercise. Just doing those alone is often enough to stimulate your body to maintain a healthy weight, if not lose weight. Cider Vinegar Diet Is Cider Vinegar Good for Weight Loss?
Taking cider vinegar pills or adding cider vinegar to your food makes NO difference to weight control.
Despite the weight loss hype, cider vinegar has NO weight reduction or fat loss benefits.
The Cider Vinegar Diet is an old fad diet and anyone who loses weight on it does so ONLY because they are eating very few calories. It has nothing to do with the weight loss effects of cider vinegar. |

Rep Power: 51 | | | My friend and I tried that once, but we took the pills...even those stunk to high heaven. My friend lost weight (eating normally), but she was exercising like a fiend. |

oh p.s u should get some medicine for that cough!!!!!!!!! | I'm somewhat confused here. I'm not an expert on dieting, I've gained and lost weight more times than I can count. So I paid to see a nutritionist. I told her what I knew, and what I wanted to know. She told me everything else is secondary to this fact: In order to lose weight, I must consume less calories than I expend.
What properties does vinegar have that would altar the number of calories I put in my body? Or would it speed up my metabolism to burn more calories? I've tried everything I can think of of to lose weight, and everytime, it comes down to putting less in my mouth, and getting more calories burnt. I know not everyone can run on a treadmill and change eating habits overnight, but I'm pretty sure some form of healthy diet and exercise is the only way to lose weight. |

Rep Power: 0 | | I totally agree with you. This is the same thing that my primary care doctor told me. I haven't seen a nutritionist but I plan to. In order to lose the weight, a person must burn more calories than they consume (this makes sense). Vegetables are usually the way to go. There are negative calorie vegetables out there (vegetables that make body burn more calories than necessary). Months ago, I lost 20lbs in about 3 to 4 months just by walking 1 hour a day. The treadmill is a great options but if you don't have a treadmill, then you can use what God gave you for free..."Mothernature". Take a nice walk everyday...it won't cost a thing. |

Rep Power: 0 | | | I may be wrong on this one- but... I believe the effect of apple cider vinegar is just as a diuretic. It's gonna flush water from you, leaving you lighter, but dehydrated. As soon as you replace those fluids, your weight goes back up. I think this one has stuck around on the circuit because it was used way back before the water phenomenon was common knowledge. |

Rep Power: 0 | | Diet (Eating Healthily) and Exercise (Burning Calories) works for EVERYONE.
Those two things are just hard to actually stick to.
It seems you are looking for a fast way out. Weight Loss takes months and dedication. |
