My wife and I started following the Canada Food Guide last July 1, 2004. The Canada Food Guide is similar to the American Food Pyramid I beleive. Anywho, I was 210 lbs on July 1, 2004 and on October 1, 2004 I was down to about 173 lbs. Since then I've leveled off at about 167 lbs. My wife got similar results.
We also walked. Then walked some more. After I lost the weight I joined a gym and started an exercise program. I'm getting decent results. I don't wanna be the next Ahnold but I've added some muscle to my frame. I've also been able to up my calories and use Whey protein isolate to supplement my protein intake. It seems to be working.
