Rep Power: 35 | | Having exactly the same thing to eat for breakfast and lunch every day is one of those "diet tricks" that will work with any food. You can do the same thing with Snickers Bars. Have 2 Snickers Bars for Breakfast, and 2 Snickers Bars for lunch, and a sensible, nutritious dinner, and exercise, and guess what - you will lose weight!
If you're in an energy deficit, almost regardless of the type of food you're eating, you'll lose weight. Granted, the quality of the food is very important for other reasons, but we have to look at what's really behind these claims before we accept them as a "miracle cure." |

Rep Power: 83 | | It's also a very low calorie diet - one I wouldn't want to be on for any length of time.
Is it something you could do long term? A way to manage weight for the rest of your life?
Good luck in what you find, but remember, more then anything diet is a way of life, not something you do for two weeks and then get off (we just can't deep six food). |

Rep Power: 11 | | Well...I decided against the diet...I went to the store yesterday and looked at the foods offered...and they all looked so sugary and full of partially hydrogenated oil...
oh well...guess I'll stick with my veggies and lean meats Maybe I'll just change up my workouts and see if that works. |

I think sticking with the foods you eat would be a good idea - you don't want your calories too low, and I know for me, I don't want to feel "restricted" If I want cheesecake, all the carrots in the world are not going to satisfy me
Have you checked out FitDay - Free Weight Loss and Diet Journal or Free Diet Plans at SparkPeople ? They are both sites for tracking calories, nutrition and fitness. |

Rep Power: 17 | | Why do I suddenly find the idea of "2 Snickers bars for breakfast and 2 Snickers bars for lunch" so appealing?? Bad, Tom, bad. |

Bad, Tom, bad. | Yeah, if I don't break through this plateau pretty soon, I'm going to formulate the Official Snickers Break-Through Miracle Diet. Eat 1 Snickers Bar for Breakfast, 1 for Lunch, and 1 for Dinner, all washed down with a glass of grapefruit juice. Lose 10 pounds in 10 days! |

Tou could sell them as part of the TomO Snickers Miracle Diet Plan! With his Infomercial experience and your genuis you could be a millionaire!!!!!
On a personal note however, I wouldn't go on the diet myself..... Nor should you of course, as you wounldnt want to blow your millions on snickers yourself....
How long you been on your plateau, btw? I JUST kicked mine today, finally beat that dreaded 267 into the dust. Now to see how long I can ride this wave until the next plateau.....

sirant | I'm on my 34th day, 16th hour, 33rd minute, and 20th second -- but hey, who's counting?
Glad you broke through yours though! That's really great!!
My first plateau was 31 days. Competitive guy that I am, I always have to break my previous record.
I like the idea of becoming a millionaire from the TomO Snickers Diet. I wonder if anyone's got an in to Oprah . . . |

Rep Power: 0 | | ugh, I am SO glad you decided to stick with your diet!
I went on the Special K diet and had great success, but later realized it wasn't really weight coming off - it was water. the Special K diet, or any diet that deprives you of very important nutrients like protein are such a waste of time...
and you start to miss real food after a while, haha. |

Rep Power: 0 | | | Anyone tried the Special K diet? Wondering if anyone has tried the Special K diet on the back of Special K cereal boxes? I was thinking of doing it for a little boost in my plan and wanted to know if it's any good? |

Rep Power: 217 | | its an extremely low calorie diet - that won't be sustainable long term...
it also doesn't give a lot of nutrients - special k is very low in fiber - so having it keep you feeling satisfied would be pretty slim | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
