I simply cannot do a lot of the exercises that are on TV etc.

I am 6'1 350 pounds, and cannot get in a lot of the positions that are required.

Does anyone have any good exercises for people in my situation?

I would suggest walking, lots of walking. Thats what I did and still do. I am 6' 226 pounds, but I was 365 so I know how you feel and were you are coming from. Good luck, I know you can do it.

Hey I was 300 pounds almost when I started excersizing...I couldnt do much. I got a recumband cycle and put it on the lowest setting started with 10 min. at the time worked up to 2 hrs and lost 130 pounds! all on that cycle mostly. When I started it was the only thing that didnt hurt my back! I gave my cycle to my mom and gained gained gained! So now I got a new one and I'm losing again! This one I will keep forever!
Good luck! You can do it!

my highest was above 326 lbs, stationary bike is about the best thing, no impact, start with slow and steady, as it gets easier, make it harder with resistance, short bursts of speed etc. it'll take time but you'll start to show improvement.

big tip...

log all your stats

time,
distance
etc.

Wow, i've just been reading all of your posts to this question, and I"m so impressed by each of your responses. And you've all been around 300 and are doing great, I'm hovering around 300 now and i've lost 37lbs, you are all inspiring, I'm using a stationary bike too, and walking, the best I can do for now and it's working. Great people here.

I started three weeks ago at ~320. I tried walking, but had terrible shin pain, even on the treadmill. So I've been doing my cardio on the stationary bike and having no problems. At some point I'd like to start walking/jogging, but it's just not happening right now.
