I am going to the gym today for the 1st time in awhile, and I was thinking about doing about 30mins of cardio (treadmill) and possibly 45mins to an hour of weight machines, many reps b/c I dont want to bulk up (Im a girl soo yeah)
Ive always read that building muscle helps with burning the fat faster, so just wondering if this is wise to do, I've tried medifast and southbeach, and god knows what else and the only time ive ever got results was the healthy way, so im going that route again.
I have no idea why im in such a rush, Im sure everyone wants to see it "now", but I know in the long run with those im just going to gain it back..and I dont think its worth the literal headaches.
I'm hoping to lose at least 2-3 lbs a week, ive done it before but my motivation SUCKS. I'm on fire for a week or 2, then I have one good piece of fatty food and im done. Im trying to keep with it this time, b/c I have around 35-40lbs to lose, and have lost about 20 already.
If anyone has any suggestions to help or educate me on this, I would appreciate it as im hoping to go later this afternoon.
Thanks!

Beretta, one of the biggest weapons in your arsenal is knowledge. However, you have to put some time and effort into getting it.
To make that process easier, I've compiled an Index of WLF "Keepers". There are some posts there that have to do with caculating your energy balance, and why losing weight too fast won't do you any good.

Great question, I have been wondering about this too.
I've seen your thread, obviously. I was just wondering about incorporating that much cardio and weight lifting ratio was something wise for me and someone of my size. I'm trying to get information, and motivation, not a run around.
Thanks for the Help

I was only kidding you. I would have offered a helping hand by now, but stepped out for lunch. Chill out, please. There has never been someone on here that I didn't help.
I agree with Tom. I would read through that thread. Hint, I will be indirectly helping you that way.
If you still have questions, feel free to ask.
Sorry, my intentions were only fun and good. Was not trying to give you the "run around."
