Rep Power: 0 | | | Quick Exercises? I leave my house at approx 7 -7:15 every morning, drive 45 minutes to work and am there from 8 - 4. Then drive 45 minutes back home. Sometimes I work later. I am looking for something I can do at the office to burn like 50 or 100 calories which will also help to wake up my sluggish brain! Sitting so much is not helping me at all. I do try to go to the local mall and walk around it 2 - 3 times. It is approx 1 mile around. I want some small exercises to do in the office in addition to that. |

Rep Power: 0 | | well you can do some squats and lunges maybe some dips and push ups too if you have the place. stretching yoga type poses are good too...im not sure what kinda space you have and what your comfortable doing at work but some jogging in place stuff like that might work. |

Rep Power: 0 | | I have a fair amount of space that is not the problem. I don't really want to jog, I already walk. I am wanting more like the others you mentioned. I don't know any yoga. Lunges might be good though. But wanted something that is designed specifically to burn an extra 50 calories or something. |

Rep Power: 0 | | youll burn calories by doing squats and lunges and stuff, you just have to do em longer than you would a cardio type exercise.or you can try plyometrics(jumping squats stuff of that nature)if you have room you can bring in a few free weights and do some curls and stuff. heres a link to some yoga moves you might be interested in http://www.mydailyyoga.com/yogaindex.html |

Rep Power: 25 | | | I used to work in a call center and between calls we would stand up and do tae bo moves and marching in place, squats, and lunges. Good to keep the blood flowing. I guess the caffine pills made us a little jumpy too. |

Rep Power: 0 | | Health and fitness magazines (and most women's magazines, really) usually have a small section on different moves you can do at home. You could also do these at the office. They might be yoga-type, short cardio, resistence training using your body weight. They have pictures and instructions on how to do the moves. You can go to the library and look at some magazines and just photocopy whatever moves you like and think will be good for you, and take them to the office with you. |

Rep Power: 0 | | | Well if your work place has stairs you could run up and down the stairs, stairs are great for exercise. | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
