What's your current weight? you aren't going to get defined abs if there's a layer of fat covering them..

As Mal said, there are no exercises that are magically going to expose your abs.

That would be a function of losing the fat.

Using more calories than you take in is the way to lose fat... and you cannot spot reduce either... fat comes off where it comes off...

Sit ups do not help with fat reduction, they will help out the abs underneath but you're not going to get the visible results you want unless the fat is gone first.

Diet and exercise...... Really.

If you are looking for a guaranteed, sure-fire method of losing fat you are in the wrong place. Losing fat is a process that is different for everyone. What works well for one person may not work at all for another.

The most basic equation is to burn off more calories than you take in. Also, of course, keeping in mind that doesn't mean starving yourself either.

Your best bet would be to read a bunch of the stickies at the tops of the forums and seeing what is working or reccomended by others and try a few things out. Ultimately no plan is 100% guaranteed, and there is no guarantee the fat will come off the areas you want first. An overall approach is required to find true success.

Sounds like you have some good reading to do, and for that you have come to the right place. There are very smart cookines in this forum and they will help if you ask. But most will reccomend as I have (and others before me) that you do some reading here first and try to find something you think you would either like to try or would be suitable for you.

If you are hoping to find the magic equation that will pop those abs out without worrying about the whole package, you may be in line for some disapointment.

Good luck and good reading!

sirant
