Best time to walk?

Hi guys,

When is the best time to walk/power-walk/do cardio? I've been doing it just before dinner in the evening, so about 7pm-8pm for me.

Would the morning be better? If so, why?

Thanks.

the best time to do anythig is when you have the time to devote to doing it...

Just make sure that your body has enough time to wind down before going to bed - exercise tends to recharge people so you might end up being awake laterin the evening than youintend

Exercise recharges me yet also tires me down, it's odd.

Thanks maleficent, what would I do without you? :P

It does the same to me. I walk in the morning, mainly because that is the only time I can do it. I'm so tired when I finish, but I sit and rest a bit and then the sleepiness goes away, then I am energized for the rest of the day. On the weekend when I walk, sometimes I crawl right back into bed and fall asleep.

Hmmmmm...I usually walk in the afternoons when I do walk because that's when I have free time, but I enjoy walking more in the morning. I feel like it jumpstarts my metabolism and the cool Alabama air (one of the only times it feels cool most of the year) helps me wake up a bit.

But like Mal said, best time to do it is whenever possible.

I usually walk during my lunch hour and then it helps with the afternoon and I am not so tired after lunch. Lately I've been walking when I get home at night about 7pm and then when I crawl into bed at night I zonk out and I am not so sore when I wake up in the morning. I think it doesn't matter too much when you do it, it just matter that you do it!!!

I do all my exercising early in the morning. it's really the only time I have to do it, and doing it early gets it done. I can't make excuses for not doing it.
