I have just started cycling calories for fat burning where by my cal deficits look something like this
DAY 1 - 1200
DAY 2 - 800
DAY 3 - 1000
DAY 4 - 800
DAY 5 - 1200
DAY 6 - 1000
DAY 7 - 1000
These deficits total 7000/3500 cal lb = 2 lbs a week which is what i have read from various sources is the maximum fat your body can metabolise in a week.
I have 2 questions:
1) will calorie cycling like this affect muscle loss as im eating the 200g protein required to maintain lean mass according to my 82 kg body weight, and im stepping over the max 1000 deficit per day on occasion with eg 1200.
2) Could i burn more than 2lbs of fat per week while maintaining lean mass due to all my deficits coming through exercise.
Any help appreciated.

that isnt my calorie intake thats my calorie deficits after exercise taken into account, to break it down a bit better it would look like this for example
bmr = 2750
DAY - Cal In - Cal Burned Exercise - Calorie Deficit
1 3100 1350 1000
2 2750 800 800

again, what are you doing as far as working out? is there ay weight training, and how often?
Burning 1350 cals in the gym means that your working out quite a bit and you seem to be doing it every day without a break. Also realize that your daily grind at work/school will consume calories as well. Your BMR is not your maintenance caloric needs, it could be much lower. Find out your maintenance level and work off of that instead of your BMR.
