Rep Power: 0 | | | How do I get abs? I'm 15 & I weigh 176. I stand @ 5'11.
My current diet consists of:
-Fish (Fried)
-Chicken (Fried)
-Ham & Cheese sandwiches w/ 2 slices of white bread
-Nature Valley's Granola bars
-McDonald's Snack Wraps w/ fries
I drink:
-Water(usually before & after I workout)
-Soda occasionally
-Vitamin Water
My current exercises:
- Yoga(6 mins)
-Weight lifting(5-10)
-Crunches (30)
-Running (for an hour)
Can someone tell me what I need to do to achieve a 6 pack, and lose weight. Hopefully I provided enough information. |

spend some time reading while you are waiting
your diet is absolute garbage... you are eating absolutely nothing remotely healthy for you...
your drinks, other than water aren't any better...
Spend some time reading the stickied threads around the forum - especially in exercise and nutrition...

Rep Power: 217 | | who is feeding you - -or rather providing your food at your age? Does the entire family eat like that?
Fried foods aren't all evil all the time -they're fine - in moderation -not a steady diet though.
Nature valley granola bars have entirely too much unnatural sugar in them... not good for your long term health - you're better off with whole grain all natural granola bars.
Fruit and vegetables are good for a growing young man such as y ourself
Snack wraps -last I checked -contain trans fats - those things are bad bad bad for your heart... even at your age.. |

Wheat Bread
Baked fish
Carrots w/ low fat ranch

| Be more specific with what you'redoing -
10 minutes of weight lifting isn't a lot.. what types of lifting are you doing?
What are you with yoga? and why only 6 minutes -
Are you doing this every day? |

Rep Power: 0 | | I can only do lift for 10 mins or less because last time I went over 10 mins my arms swole up & got so tense i could not move them for 5 days.
I do yoga for 6 mins b/c that's how long the youtube video is "Yoga for weight-loss w/ Tara stiles"
I do 30 crunches, I don't do them for 30mins.
Oh, and I use a running machine instead of actually running, it's called the "Gazelle".
& on my weight lifting, their weight curls.
edit: i try to do this 5 days out the week, usually end up only doing it 2-3 days. |

Rep Power: 217 | | | So you're only working your arms with weight lifting?
Read the stickied threads in the exercise forum here -you'll get a much better idea of what your work out should be - think compound movements where you're using more than one muscle group at a time... |

Rep Power: 182 | | Stop right here and read the stickies. Between the diet and the comment about your arms not being able to move... you need to educate yourself with the fundamentals.
Be patient and spend time on the basics. If you have questions... ask. |
