I got in the pool today, just to try something different. but I couldn't do much. I would do half a lap crawl and then breast stroke on the way back. I did that 4 times. I had to rest after each half. It only took about 10 minutes. What else should I do? anyone have any good beginner swim workouts?
if it is a 50metre pool maybe start off with 10 x 50metre laps to start off with, in the stroke that you prefer to the most. So that's 500 metres.
Or just try and see what you are comfortable with, but remember to push yourself. I find swimming really dull, so I really have to push myself to keep going.
