Rep Power: 0 | | | Question Hi again, Well I got my treadmill but have had a delay in setting it up. I hope by this weekend it's up and working. My question is I do yoga and plan on using some light hand weights also along with using the treadmill, in what order should I do this? Should I do yoga first then walk, and then some weights or should I split it up over days? I am not sure what to do, so any suggestions would help. Thanks

Rep Power: 277053 | | well, i dont' know alot about excersize...but I do know they say that people have more success when they set up a routine. Do the same workout at the same time of day. Maybe if you have time, you can do half of it in the morning/afternoon and half of it in the evening??
I'm sure someone else will be able to answere your question better than me though

I've heard a lot of gym instructors suggest alternating days throughout the week, with one rest day included in there. So maybe mon-wed-fri go on the treadmill, and then tues-thurs-sat do your weight lifting and yoga (since they're both muscle toning exercises). Rest and let your body recouperate on sunday. That's just off the top of my head, mind you, so you can do it differently if it works better for you.
And as NewBride said, if you have a schedule worked out, it'll be at least a little easier to stick to your exercising plan, so maybe do it the same time every day. |

Rep Power: 20077 | | | If you are going to do weights and cardio on the same day you should do the weights first otherwise you risk burning muscle during your weights workout instead of building muscle, but weights and cardio on different days is better.
you should have at least 1 days rest between working muscle groups. ie. doing a full body weight workout every 2nd day or working separate bodyparts on alternate days. | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
