Post Walking Incline?

I weighted myself 2 days ago(first time in a year, as I find Scales such a depressing invention!!) I now weight 68kg (149lbs or 10 1/2 stone) and my height is 5'3, dress size is 12 bordering on 14. I use to be a size 10 so Im wanting to lose 14kg. I calculated my BMI & it says im overweight for my height but only slightly.

I read that walking on a incline on a treadmill can help you lose weight faster than walking normally so as of yesterday I started it at my local gym & plan on sticking to it for 4 weeks.

Im walking on an incline of 8.0 with a speed of 6.0 for 15 minutes then with no incline but keep the speed at 6.0 for 5 minutes then incline again for 15 minutes, then no incline again for 5 minutes and keep rotating it like so for an hour. I could feel it doing the work as I was sweating like mad, Ive also cut my calories back to no more than 1000.

Ive tried crash dieting, normal diets and walking an hour a day for a month in the past with no result!! Do you think this will help me lose weight fast enough if I do this incline walking 6 days a week for an hr each time? I have a wedding to go to in 4 weeks & drastically want to lose weight for it!

Stop what you're doing and start reading aroun the forum...

YOur calories are entirely too low

sweating has little correlaton to fat loss... it just means your sweating...

you're talking in stones and kg so is the speed you're walking at 6.0mph or km per hour if it's kph that's not even 4 miles per hour... the incline is good for the butt and thigh muscles and gets your heart rate up which helps withf at loss -but you also want to get your speed up as well to also raise your heart rate

what are you planning n doing after the 4 weeks are up? gain back whatever you might have lost?
