I could use some help

Hi all,

I am getting married in 15 months and I need to loose the beer gut and could do with getting healthier. I am 6"3 and, apparently according to Wii Fit my BMI is in the ideal section but too close to the overweight section.

My fiancee is doing the weight watchers diet (which means i am) and I have started to go to the gym. What routines or machines would people suggest? I tend to do running and then some of the ab crunches, i also do some excersise out of the gym.

Any suggestions would be cool.

Pope Matt

Do not follow the BMI. I have not seen the WII BMI, but all the BMIs i know of use only weight and height and don't take muscle mass into account. So most athletes are listed as overweight.
What I would do is a phased program by first lifting heavier to build up strenght, and then go to a higher volume lifting program. Also be sure to do interval training using either an elliptical machine on a high resistance, a rowing machine, or a treadmill on a high elevation. this way you keep the muscle, and still lose the fat.

Thanks for that, I do the rowing machine on the high resistance. How long do you do the treadmill for?
