Rep Power: 0 | | | Turbo Jam So, I decided to buy my first work out videq about 3 weeks ago. I had seen an infomercial wile i was viseting my parents, I had seen it on tv at about 4:00 in the morning :P
I am pretty sceptical about these sorts of things and dont like spending money if i am not 90% sure about it.
I did some reserch online and decided to try it.
I just started it a few days ago. I was curious if anyone else is doing it.
It is a fun program if you just let yourself go with it.
I have not been doing long enough to say if im getting results yet, but we'll see. |

Rep Power: 0 | | Havnt heard of that one either. I always found Kathy Smith videos/DVDs were good for me. She has 20 min weight loss aerobics or full 40-60 min workouts of everthing.
What type of exercise excactly is Turbo Jam? |

Rep Power: 0 | | | Tae Bo or Turbo Jam anyone? Well I've been doing Tae Bo for awhile but decided to stop because it wasn't giving results anymore and because I was afraid ti was going to start bulking me up rather than slimming me down. I just ordered the Turbo Jam system because it looked like it would help out alot...has anyone used either of these and had good results? |

Rep Power: 0 | | | For one thing; you can never bulk up as a woman like you might be picturing unless you're doing some really hardcore stuff. Meaning lifting immense amounts of wieght and constanting doing strength workouts. And not to mention you'd actually have to be taking steroids alongside all that. So it's actually toning your body while increasing energy, endurance, and not to mention metabolism. But if it's stop working than that must mean it was working at a time?
Maybe it's gotten to be too routine and your muscles have gotten used to the moves. So you might want to try something different just to shake your muscles a little bit with some new moves or just do the tae-bo tape less and replace it with some cardio or whatever you'd like.

Rep Power: 0 | | | Starting turbo jam program tomorrow If you haven't heard of TurboJam it's basically a bunch of weight loss tapes with a booklet that comes with it. I start tomorrow and so far its pretty impressive it gives a list of tons of foods you can eat and a section shows you how to calculate how many claories you should eat with how much you weigh. It is a system of five DVDs (or tapes) and they have a beginner and advance month schedule for what tapes you do each day excluding the weekends. Which is what I planned on doing anyway lol....Wish me luck guys hopefulyl this helps get the ticker down.... |

Rep Power: 19 | | Yes, a fellow TJ'er!! *high five* I know you'll love it, because the workouts are so fun I love the 20 Minute Workout myself, it really pushes you hard!
The only thing I'll warn you about, is don't expect to keep up the first time around. The moves can get a teensy bit complex, but once you have them down (I'm fairly left-footed, and it took me about 3 or 4 runs through to get the moves down), they're so worth it! |

Rep Power: 0 | | | Yes, I suggest you do that. And if you really think that the tape you were doing was doing nothing, than get a tae-bo or trusted tape of choice that's longer and intenser. Like bootcamp Tae-bo. And try a good variety if possible.

Rep Power: 0 | | I just started Turbo Jam today and MAN!! I am so uncoordinated it's not even funny.
I'm sure you'd do better with it though since you were doing Tae Bo.
I can't really say if it will work for you or not though, but it seems really fun and it's definitely different I SO hope it works for me lol.

Rep Power: 0 | | Oo Wish I had seen this thread before the other one heh....
I started TJ 3 days ago and am really enjoying it so far. I'm gonna be stuck on Learn & Burn for a while though heh.
Even after just 3 days (one just watching)... I've gotten better with some of the moves... but I'm still having trouble connecting all the different moves fluidly.
Hope to go to the real workouts soon
