Man, you really leached onto this 'raise your metabolism' thing, huh?
Funnily enough, if it were easy to raise your metabolism while you lose weight, we'd all be skinny. Unfortunately, our bodies have quite the opposite hard-wired, evolutionary programming. When we lose weight, our bodies try to conserve. Part of that is a reduction in metabolic rate.
Sure, add more muscle to increase metabolism.
But adding appreciable amounts of muscle while
dieting isn't going to happen in many/most circumstances.
