Is there an easy way to check how much muscle you've lost?
It's Something I've become very paranoid about as of late, I don't think I'm become weaker, there are many things in which I've drastically improved, but since I started taking thermobol, focused entierly on resistance training at the gym (For cardio, cycling distances of 16 miles+ in my spare time as well as too and from the gym) and losing 5lbs+ a week its obvious I'm losing a good bit of muscle there, but in comparison pictures my muscles don't look to have gotten smaller at all. It must be from areas that I don't often use and cant see from pictures.
So, is there a way to tell how much muscle I've lost? im going to focus on building it after I lose my fat anyway but still I'd like to minimize my losses

I would think that unless you had a body fat analysis test done prior to losing weight -vs now - there's not going to be a good way to know what's been lost.

you will lose a lot of muscle just because to carry around a lot of fat you need it. But I would say you probably most definately have added a lot of lean muscle mass

Why would you say that?

Reading some of the threads here I'm concerned I may be losing muscle.
I've been losing, on average, a shade over 2 lbs a week since early July. I'm now down 22 lbs from my high of 256.6 lbs.
I go to the gym 5-6 days a week and I generally do 20 minutes of cardio and 20 minutes of strength on the weekdays and 30/30 on a weekend day, giving myself at least one day off a week to let myself recover.
I am trying to build lean muscle mass but I know realistically that it's hard to build muscle and lose weight at the same time. So...when I lift weights, what am I doing?
